So desperate are some people to maintain the racial spoils system that someone in South Dallas called DISD Superintendent Mike Miles, a distinguished administrator with a track record of success in Colorado, a white supremacist!
From the Dallas Morning News, "Scores of people filled the Madison High School auditorium in late March for what amounted to an ambush on school administrators. For more than an hour, speakers demanded to know whether Madison principal Marian Willard might lose her job.
They accused district leaders of targeting black principals who serve black communities. The next week, dozens of speakers assailed Miles at a school board meeting regarding rumors that Willard and Lincoln High School principal Leslie Swann might be let go.
One person suggested that Miles was a white supremacist. He was born to a black father and Japanese mother."
