DJ, first of all the $6B is not US taxpayers money. It is Iranian money that had been frozen. Because of the deal 5 American that had been imprisoned were released. The money is not being paid directly to the Iranian government. It is deposited in 3rd-party accounts, that are being monitored, for humanitarian purposes such as food and agricultural products. If this is not adhered to, then these accounts can be frozen. Virtually none of what you said is true.

maybe this exchange might return us to the bargaining table of "No Iranian nukes" negotiated and signed under Obama, which was big. really big.

Obama shoulda called Trump and told him to take credit for the "No Iranian nukes" agreement. I am betting there some ladies on here who saw a drop in their business due to the job market going whacky, had to lower their rates some because of it just to keep earning. And guys on here who would hobby 1-3 times a week probably slowed down to 2x a month to once a week... less disposable income means less "disposing" going on.

Liberals pay attention to this. None of you can deny what I'm fixing to post, because this is true and factual and is currently happening in my world.


My electric company does not allow balanced billing, so I chose many years ago to do my own balanced billing. So each year starting in January I pay extra to create my own balanced billing. Say my January bill is 100, so I pay 300. And I pay 300 every month no matter the bill. Usually this carries me all the way to the end of the year, past the summer months where my bill may be 350, I still have it covered. Some years I have enough banked to where I have money left over in December and don't have to even worry about a light bill as I pay this 300 to Christmas gifts. This year during the summer months, I had electric bills skyrocket to where my plan that has worked for years fails me this year.


My 200 bill to HEB for groceries has increased to 300 for groceries a couple of times a month.


The main problem is that a couple of you have your heads so far up brandons ass you can'r see what's going on in the real world. None of you have made any disparaging remarks about brandon, and this is the point where I know you guys are totally in denial how bad of a job brandon is doing. Instead of saying something bad about this stumbling senile and angry old man, you call him the fuckng energizer bunny. This is how ridiculous you guys are.


Newsflash, this is not the party of Kennedy, Carter, or Clinton. This is the carry over party of osama-obama and our nation is struggling day by day. This is not your parents democrat party. I grew up in a home that flew the Kennedy, Johnson, and Carter flags, but no way can I fly the brandon flag. My father was a union worker and for 40 years I was a union worker. Naturally the union wanted us to vote democrat, but some of us have original thoughts and vote for the best man. The democrat party of our parents would be aghast at the current movement to the far left that the current democrats are doing.

we've discussed the supply chain disruptions and demand pull inflation due to covid in an earlier thread. i'm not going to re-explain it to you.

Pelosi bucks were meant to help people out who were hugely impacted by economic shocks due to covid. the economy and unemployment situation were both in free fall, if you recall. no one was forced to cash their checks, including you. and it was a short-term remedy for an economic disaster.

the work from home policy was based on the best available evidence from experts, and i'm quite sure saved thousands of lives. red states had much greater morbidity and mortality (as a percentage of the population) than blue states due to much of their populace ignoring expert advice on vaccines, mask wearing, and social distancing. that's a fact, not just my opinion.
