In Public
I haven't been around much, but I am still in the hobby.
With that said.............
If you happen to see me out in public, please don't yell Elena to me or come up to me telling me you know me.
I was at the NCAA basketball games this weekend and had two clients do this. I wasn't alone, I was with friends on one occasion and family the other time.
I respect your privacy and am discreet, is it that hard for you to be discreet?
I love answering questions from friends and family. Didn't make me uncomfortable at all. >insert sarcasm<

Paraphrasing the great, unknown NYC "street poet": 'Nobody rides for free'. Being recognized and occasionally "eyeballed"/called out is "all in the game", dear.

I think discretion on both sides of the street should be the norm.
If someone were to call me by a name I might use for certain transactions, or just otherwise call me out, I would find that very uncool.
I certainly can't be sure what situation an escort or stripper I know is in, should I see her in public. Sure I might look at her, smile, and if appropriate initiate a conversation. You can sort of figure that out depending on the circumstances.
Not too long ago I was out and came across the lovely Miss Sara and we both recognized each other. We were both very discreet at first and each of our situations were safe that we did have a brief chat. I was very grateful for her sense of respecting the public setting. It seems like a common courtesy.

It is one thing to say hi and how are you doing without a name. Easy to say they used to work at x business that you used to visit or some such thing. Putting a name out there is what can cause all kinds of problems.

I am calling total bullshit on the its "all in the game" statement... I sure hope that you forgot to make it with the sarcasm font because if you didn't then that is one hell of a SPA.
When seeing someone from the hobby out in public you should never acknowledge any type of recognition, even a knowing smile or glance can be over the line.
It might be easy to pass off as someone you know from somewhere else... but IMO you should never be put in the position to have to explain anything off in the first place.

Agree with the other posters and disagree big with Big Roscoe. If we can't treat each other with discretion in public, it is the same as "outing" someone.

You aren't serious are you? That is totally not "all in the game" lol. Providers require privacy as well.

Wait, so it wouldn't be cool if I saw you at the mall and said "OH HI KENDRA THANX FOR THE SEX LAST WEEK!" ?

Thankfully This is Happening gets it. Sheesh. By the by, I have absolutely no idea what a 'SPA' is nor a 'sarcasm font' for that matter. Still, it's never too late to learn something new. LOL

Just so my meaning is clear, I'm saying it is NOT COOL to approach a provider in public, because they DO have a right to have a life away from work. At most, a discreet nod or smile is enough, unless they make it clear it's ok.

Never say hi to anyone in the hobby while in public, Never. A month or so ago I was sitting at a table near Sexuser with some friends he never said a word to me and I likewise. I'm not even sure he knew I was there. lol

OMG.. how stupid could a person be???
A lady told me a couple of years ago... That happened to her... While she was checking in... BY ANOTHER PROVIDER of all people!!!! ( and if youre reading this .. Yes I'm talking about YOU...DUMBASS) Luckily... The most that's happened to me was a text saying ' I see you... Are you busy later?' LOL. Anything more than that is TOTALLY unacceptable under any circumstances ... *sighs* some people I swear...

Use discretion, no doubt about it. Only contact via text or email, as one would tend to do anyway, and if in doubt at all, DON'T. A little respect for people's safety, by all means. We are all taking risks here, let's help keep each other safe.
