Well, I can vouch that you already have the porn skills and the dirty talk down pat.

I'm sure there are others that can give you more specific advise, but the Porn industy is in the San Fernando Valley in Cali and you would probably have to eventually relocate there. If you are any good you can make some good bucks. Just don't plan on a long term career as I think the normal career span for a porn star is somewhere around 3 years.

You might want to hit some of the sites of film companies like Vivid and Wicked (But there are tons of other smaller companies) to see if you can find any information on casting calls. You might also want to make a short film to send them to showcase your skills. I volunteer to provide the stunt cock for your film as long as you don't mind me wearing my Mexican wrestler mask. . .lol

I'm no expert on the subject, but you might look into making your own movies and staring a paysite. It's probably more work than going out to Cali, but at least you'd be your own boss and keep all the profits.

Very very tough to get started, especialy on your own. There is so much free porn out there, its really hard to make much money as an indy. Even alot of the established distributors are hurting. Good luck though, you never know till you try.

I will say that you CAN make money, but most of the girls also tour (dance), do appearances and some provide -- all together, creating more cash flow!

There won't be many above ground opportunities here in DFW. Laws are pretty restrictive and the companies with real money just operate where the legal climate is easier.

Brazzers does pay well from what I have heard from several ladies. Don't expect to go to Vegas to party, the shoots are full day and sometimes multiday. Good luck with your pursuit.

Texas porn laws are not any more strict than other places. There are threads covering this topic.

Here's the highlights, off the top of my head.

Porn is protected by the First Amendment, provided it is not "obscene". These days you have to have a midget, a horse, a chainsaw, a porta-potty, and 5 Gallons of Cream Of Wheat on camera at the same time, as part of your sex act, before it MIGHT be considered obscene.

Every once in a while some DA with an eye on moving up will get the idea to arrest porn producers and actors on prostitution charges, to get around the pesky First Amendment, plus the difficult and unpredictable obscenity definition, all in one move.

Usually people plead guilty and pay the fine, but every once in a while, someone will take up the fight, and when this happens it can backfire on the DA and the state. It happened in California, and the Ca Supreme Court spanked Ca pretty hard for trying to get around the Constitution, and in the process put the legal equivalent of "PORN IS PROTECTED" in writing. That's why people say Ca laws make porn legal. The laws of Ca. didn't change, and the laws are basically the same in every state. A California DA screwed up. and their courts put it in writing as a result.

You can write that all you like POD; if the legal climate is such that the government makes attempts to discourage this behavior smart companies just go elsewhere. Brazzers, etc. doesn't shoot in Texas not due to lack of talent but due to lack enforcement of obscenity laws elsewhere in the country.

You can make underground porn in Texas no problem, but if you try to make yourself legit you open yourself to be pursued by those who wish to treat what you do as obscene.
