Is ANYONE watching "Breaking Bad"?
I'm surprised that a topic hasn't been started about this show.
Three episodes left and I almost wish that I hadn't watched last night's show. It was so intense that I can hardly wait until NEXT Sunday!!
That, and watching the Cowboys play, took up my Sunday evening!
Breaking Bad. Is this a great show or what?
Always,
Elisabeth

**SPOILER ALERT** don't read if you haven't watched last nights show or subsequent
Yea watched the show last night actually. That was intense, Walt being stuck handcuffed in his brother n laws car, while his "called off hitman" show up and start shooting. Jesse Pinkman is such a douche bag, snitching to the cops just to "get back at walt", and I think Walt finally realized what a "rat" he really is..lol I really don't like Jesse at all, he is a bone head, he really is.
Can't wait for next Sunday nights show.

Might be a female thing but a lot of women like Jesse. I don't have strong feelings about him much at all except that he always seems to be in such angst, which tugs at my maternal heart strings a bit.
He's really turned "ratty", as you suggested. But he's scared and over his head.
I've had mixed feelings about this season. I know it's "the end". And I'm expecting some wild thrills.
I just wonder who IS going to die in this shootout.
Do you think that any of the main characters are going to be affected? If so, who?
This show is just awesome. (Did I just use the word awesome to explain a television show? Rolling my eyes!)
So much of the double crossing that is going on, though, is causing me to lose a bit of the thrill of watching it.
Almost wish that AMC would do a "netflix" and just present the shows all together for a season (Orange is the new Black/House of Cards). Might be better for my heart rate!!!
Thanks for your response.
Always,
Elisabeth

Love the show. Last night was intense. The only person that you know survives is Walt since the first episode in this season showed him in the future. Plus there are more episodes so he can't die yet.

Well funny you mention the opening scenes at the begining of the season. Obviously the "cat is out of the bag" so to speak with all the graffiti in his destroyed home with Heisenberg on the walls. The next door neighbor freaking out at the sight of him when she sees him. So my prediction is that his brother n law is the one who is going to die. But the other officer probably survives. I am willing to bet Jesse gets whats coming to him too!

Going in a different direction for me, I believe.
I think that Hank's partner is going to die for sure. He's expendable.
I'm just not sure of the others, though. Doesn't it seem rather anti-climatic to have Hank die in the gunfight?
The suspense is already killing me!
"Hello, Carol." hugs.

I have not ever watched the show because I believe it glorifies drugs.
I admit I have never watched it right?
I hate drugs and what drugs have done to people.
I could be wrong about the show but here I am.

MA, Breaking Bad glorifies drugs the same way that the song "Cocaine" glorifies drugs. It's an anti-glorification.
Besides, it's not about drugs, it's about human morality.
Possibly one of the best shows ever, IMO.
EW, you should feel no shame whatsoever using the word awesome about it.

The reason you Sheila's like Jesse is, he and Walt have switched personalities. Walt is now the monster and Jesse has a 'heart' for others. Different twist last night, wherein we are left hanging in the middle of full emotional tilt over the violence v.s. previous endings wherein we are left hanging over the morality of the whole situation. Cranston is genius.
Last week 'Talking Bad' after the show, did anyone see it? Samuel L. Jackson was asked why he says muthafukah so much. He said he stuttered as a child and muthafukah was the only word he could say without stuttering. LMFAO

Never watched it. Guess I'm the only one. Heard it's a great show so I'll have to buy the episodes on Amazon and catch up.

Jesse always had a heart for others. He's just lost and always has been. Him joining forces with Hank does more for me to not care for him than ever before.
But I was always ambivalent about my feelings towards that character (in other words, never a fan), probably because of his many short comings.
But then I'm not a fan of Walt, either. The character development is just amazing with these people.
To see him turn from a desperate person with cancer trying to make a dime, then to the monster that he became, to a more ineffectual person/character now.
I haven't watched the after shows. I probably should, though. What I DO, though, is I read the commentaries that are weekly on slate.com
They have a bit of a blog club going on with that and it's interesting to me.

I agree with what you've written here.
This show is more about the human condition, like mentioned above. It's raw and often very unpretty.
To see the complete turn around, and now it's turning around again, of Walt's character is amazing.
I think that we're seeing Walt come full circle, though. He is no longer an anti-hero, like in episodes past. Now, he's not a hero at all in any form of the word. He's losing his power. His standing.
The show is completely riveting. This last season has been tougher to watch than some of the others. It's left me just wanting to see the other three episodes that are left like NOW.

I don't think you're alone. I've considered just letting TiVo record them for me, ignore them, then in a month sit down a few hours before the last episode and binge.
But I can't do it. I HAVE TO watch it right away.
I do that with other shows. I'll let TiVo record a season's or month's worth, then binge.
I do it on a small scale with Formula 1. I'll let the practice and qualifying record, and start watching them about the time the race starts, depending on time zone. Then when I get done with them, the race is recorded and waiting.

Oh, me too.
I'm actually surprised that a topic about this show hasn't been created before. I kept waiting for it to happen.
The first show of this last season was so good that I KNEW it was going to be a long few months before it's over.
Certainly, this will end full circle. Maybe.
Have you heard the rumor about a spin-off show featuring Saul? Gotta call Saul.
I'll take you to Belize.

I actually hope there are no spin-offs. It should just end, IMO.
What I want to know is what Vince is cooking up next. I hope he's 1/10th as prolific as Chuck Lorre.
He's certainly as talented.
