I would like to hear about how long you have been a hobbyist/provider and how times have changed.

When I started in the biz there was no internet or cell phones, you had to have a home phone and sit by it all day. I worked in a massage parlor and a lot of the other girls I knew worked the streets or bars. I use to also run ads in the local paper. Screening was something that was never done.
Life is so much easier today then yesterday!

Newbies like me (about a year now) owe a lot to the folks who have paved the way and the internet.

when I started in my 20"s ...I used the phone book to call every agency in Houston

I started working for the first one to reply back............they did no screening and I went everywhere in Houston at every hour of the day/night

It was scarey.

{granted,i did leave a few places "butt ass nekkid" with clothes in hand once or twice}

I don't think we had agencies back when I started. I'm from Washington state, we had three massage parlors and a couple of titty bars, peep shows and oh yeah the Green River Killer was running around.

The "first" best new tool for the hobby was the cell phone. Back in the day, I had a special hidden place in my glovebox to keep my stash of quarters for the pay phone to contact gals. Had a few off the beaten path pay phones to use so that no one would recognize my car while I was making attempts at contact. Really pissed me off when they raised the price of a call from 25 to 35 cents and removed the ability to return calls to pay phones.

and do not forget we had to find client's houses with NO GPS!!!

The first provider I met advertised on yahoo personals. I have to admit I wasn't looking to meet an escort but then decided what the hell. I was hooked for life when she started making out with me. This was more than just wham, bam, thank you for your donation now get out or a rub and tug.

Haha...Damn Nash, I remember when it was a dime (Jim Croche, "Operator...you can keep the dime.") I'm Sooo OLD...it's a good thing I'm still hobbying...otherwise I'd probably be dead! LOL
