It is about time we stop pounding our keyboards and start gathering in the streets. Our government is out of control and until the people wakeup and stop ignoring what is and has been going on we are doomed as the once free nation that was born. I was, and always have been, on record as opposing the Patriot Act as one of the worst pieces of legislation in history when it comes to infringing on our liberty.

The Obama administration secretly won permission from a surveillance court in 2011 to reverse restrictions on the National Security Agency’s use of intercepted phone calls and e-mails, permitting the agency to search deliberately for Americans’ communications in its massive databases, according to interviews with government officials and recently declassified material.

The courts in 2008 imposed an explicit ban — at the (BUSH) government’s request — on those kinds of searches, that officials in 2011 got the court to lift the ban and that the search authority has been used.
