People that have lived under communism and escaped are usually the most patriotic and conservative.
The guy who owns the place where I get my hair cut is Vietnamese and came to America after South Vietnam fell to the communists. He thinks Obama is pure evil and is convinced he's a communist.

Joe I got the exact same story from the Vietnamese nail salon. That woman has fox on the entire day. It's the best salon in north Texas and she'll tell you straight up, don't like it? Bye! They STAY busy. Looks like that free market system is working great for her...

Refugees from communism always have more appreciation for the freedom we take for granted. I'm always moved by their appreciation of America. Someday, we may have to escape America; maybe the Canadians will give us sanctuary.

No it doesn't get their attention. I've mentioned this before, those that support Obama and wish for his re-election view it as more of a personal victory than anything else. They don't see nor do they really care about the possibilities of this country transforming into a Socialistic country. To many who support Obama, Socialism can't happen at least not on Obama's watch, but it's just the opposite that is most inevitable to happen. Those very same people that supported Obama will be the first to bitch and moan about it.

Most people don't realize how rare freedom is. Throughout history, tyranny has been the norm. Freedom is the exception. To think that we can't lose our freedom is absurd.
Liberal politicians crave power above all else. As the government gains power, the people lose freedom; it's a zero sum game. Thomas Jefferson said eternal vigilance is the price of freedom. It's not likely that the people will be vigilant in gaurding freedom, if they don't understand it's in constant jeopardy.
