Lies, and More Lies by Phoenix LE to Falsely Arrest
Lies, and More Lies by Phoenix LE to Falsely Arrest “Freeway Shooter” Exposed similar to plea deals in Temple prostitution case. The same tactics are probably used in the many prostitution felony cases now in Superior Court.
We know from the Temple case the prosecutors often lied to scare women into plea deals. In one case the “criminal enterprise” reason was because the School of One Corporation wasn’t yet properly registered with the State. Of course, this is not at all criminal but would just pay a late filing fee. I have even been late filing annual corporate notice (they don’t send notices for renewals) The fee is about $40, as I recall.
For an hour on the Dr. Phil show, tapes of police interrogations of both the alleged shooter and his girlfriend were played. Clearly LE lied to them and tried every trick possible to get them to say something about the other. But they were consistent in their statements, never waived. Later it was clearly shown he could not have done it, and the LE lies were later confirmed as lies.
It turned out it was impossible for him to have been the shooter, the ballistics to his gun were debunked by an expert, and during some of the shootings that were proven to be from the same gun, his gun was in a pawn shop. At another freeway shooting, he was charged for; it was proven he was on a cellphone from Glendale calling his mother. He was a long way from the shooting as proven by phone records, his mother, and girlfriend.
He was told his girlfriend said he did it (total lie), and many other examples of LE lies exposed.
He was in solitary confinement for 222 days before the State dropped the case since he could not afford bail. He never asked for an attorney until a day or so later since he knew he was innocent and thought if he just told the truth he would be home soon.
Then somehow via his father Jason Lamm (who was an attorney for two Temple defendants) who seems always to get publicity in high-profile cases was hired. Attorney Lamm was on Dr. Phil towards the end. Of course, Lamm may eventually get a high legal fee, taking a cut in the planned $10 million lawsuit against the State. A Notice of Claim has been filed.
Dr. Phil was very good laying out the facts and exposing the lies including the interrogation tapes that were played.
