As many of you mutts know, I'm sure, Gen Mattis was recently shitcanned as commander CENTCOM for the unpardonable sins of being a "fightin' general" and "keepin' it real" whenever he spoke with civilian politicians.
But, thank goodness, the general's "keepin' on keepin' on". Here's a little blurb about his current mission:

Gen. Mattis' replacement is probably better qualified for CENTCOM's focus through 2014; after all, he commanded the withdrawal of U.S forces from Iraq and he may be Frenchman-qualified in retreat.
