Fought the fucking traffic, in the rain, to get to the ballpark Sunday night. The parking lots close-in were getting $40.00 to park! Fuckers!!! Even the bbq place on the east side (normally $5.) was getting $20. Will be interesting tonight, to see how much the crowd diminishes, and how much the parking vendors are charging.

btw, wound up parking on a side street (with about 20 / 25 other vehicles) for free. NOT - got a freaking $70.00 parking ticket! Oh well, game was fun. What the hell.......

Might turn around and surprise us, but -
could be one of the worst ever.
Are they even AAA?
Odds of no hitter/perfect game this season - 50%?
That said, will see at least one game though.

Yeah true, but did you look at Maurer's stats? Fuckers given up 12 freakin runs in less than 7 innings pitched! God love the Astros if they didn't jump all over that guy.

I'm a huge fan of baseball, played the game for years. I've been an Astro's fan since I can remember. I was there when Hatcher put a ball in the upper deck in extra innings I was there when we had the likes of Nolan and Richards on the mound, I was there at the first game at Enron field. I can count on one hand the number of opening days I wsnt at in the last 15-20 years. This year was one of them. Fuck the American League the Astro's and their price increase. Really I cant watch a game on TV and you want me to pay MLB prices for a Damn minor league team. I can get in my car and drive to CC, Round Rock or San Antonio and catch a better played game for less money. Sure I understand rebuilding we have been through it so many times in Houston but really Astros get a grip you cant continue to Fuck your fans and expect us to show up. Maybe I can become a Phillies fan afterall we have been a farm team for them the last few years.

So Porter yanks Martinez for chasing a first pitch and popping it up the other night. Last night they get 22 hits, 16 runs and 5 homers. Coincidence or Porter's message get through?

Porter has his hands full, he was in line for the Manager job for the Nats when Davey steps down, I guess he couldnt wait that long, I bet he will kick himself in the ass in a few years

Considering that DM was making the team attractive to sell and gutted the team to do so and the lack of time that the current owner and management have had to get things done I'm not surprised at the product on the field. Question is can they develop some talent from within and maybe use that as bargaining chips to get some quality YOUNG players now? Unfortunately many are saying this will be a 4 - 5 year project. As long as that project shows steady improvement I'm afraid that's what we're gonna be stuck with...Steady improvement.
