I apologize for doing a duplicate thread. I really wanted to only post this one here, but figured I would get more answers there. But I really want to know and need as many answers as possible. Let's see if ECCIE can produce as many/more responses.

I think it is verifiable that the D/FW area has the best hobby deals in the nation. Just based upon personal observation, I believe the average rate in this area is between $200 - $225. And there are a TON of ladies below $200. Most are between $150 - $200. And, holy cow, how many other areas of the country have as many 1/2 hour ladies that offer between $100 - $150? We, as hobbyist, are truly blessed.

So what I am wondering is -------- if the Dallas area has so many providers at such a low rate, why in the hell are we inundated with so many visitors coming into our area. And when they come they bring their "out of state" rates. Those ladies choose to visit an area with the lowest rates and bring their $300+ rates with them.

Everytime I see an out of state lady proclaiming "I'll be in Dallas on date "x". Come see me for $350" I think WTF are you thinking? I can't possibly fuck all the $200 providers that are simply outstanding in looks and services. Why would I even give a thought to seeing your high priced ass?

Gentlemen --- why do you pay out of state prices when in-state prices are so much better?

Ladies (in state) -- what are your feelings about the traveling ladies "invading" your turf. LOL - I can understand it if you went to another state and charged THEIR prices. In fact I know a lady here who regularly visits Washington DC and charges a lot more when she is there than here.

Ladies (out of state) -- are you really getting 50% more than our local cuisine?

Honestly, I don't see it as a turf thing, lol. Men love variety. I think that this is where building up your clientelle comes in. 99% of the students that I have seen have come back 2 or more times.

I know that they are seeing other providers in between, but that isn't my concern. It's like dining at a restaurant. We all have our favorites, but frequent others.

Perhaps you may get a different opinion from a provider who is high volume. I know that they may have a completely different view.

I have a different thought process but it probably lands you and I in the same place. One I have a limit on what I will spend on a session which I rarely (almost never) break. With the economy and my personal finances, the limit has gone down below what most of the out-of-town ladies ask for their sessions so they don't fit into my Hobby plans.

But more importantly and somewhat related to what BST said, when I meet a lady for the first time, if we (or I think we) hit it off, I want to be able to see her again and that is not really an option with the out-of-town ladies.

Consequently, they simply do not get on my radar screen.

Interesting question Go4it.

I personally don't raise my rates even 25 when I travel normally. My usually since I started touring was to reduce my rate, offer special time frames that are normally NOT what I do at home.

Part of the deal is ... these ladies are NOT readily available any time you want to go see like local talent. They do not need to compete with local rates. To a degree DFW has a pricing war going on between gals for your business, that is why you have seen so many rates drop during this economy. Many ladies down there however haven't had to change a thing and their business is just as good as ever. Right where they want it.

Even tho I have always done out calls to a large variety of places (DFW included) I am only what I would consider to be semi-local but yet still out of state. I live about 3 hours from DFW. Not every one can afford to make a appointment with me and have me drive down, not when like you said you can find a lady any where from 100- 250 for the hour and they already have a incall.

Some guys like traveling ladies due to they come and go and there is VERY VERY little risk of the SO or himself running into them.

We are just a small part of the "Hobby" and there are a lot of people that are able and willing to pay these rates. If no one saw them there wouldn't be so many visiting.

While I am total agreement with you Chipper regarding the size of our group, we have a WEALTH of beautiful and talented ladies at a much lower rate -- why would knowledgeable buyers spend twice the price? What's the attraction? It's not a "Cadillac versus a Chevy" question because our ladies can stand with any Cadillac anywhere, anytime. LOL - IMHO, some of the travelers are the Chevy's. OMG - some are Yugo's.

And, BST, while I understand it isn't really a turf issue, it seems absurd that you ladies are having to compete for business locally by lowering your current rates and having all kinds of specials while some "out-of-towner" waltzes in and demands (and gets?) a higher rate.

HTrainer - I don't think anyone here thinks of you as an out-of-towner. You've been in and around our community for quite awhile.

Yes I tend to post in the dfw forums... ours is a very quiet portion of the boards (and not even a section here yet).

But when I come to stay.. it's still a tour for me.

My rates have climbed up to 250+ depending on a special or not. For me I rather have 2 quality sessions than 4-5 thaat ma or ma not be jerks (sorry but thats just me).

Rates tend to weed out some types of clientele even tho there are quality guys that just can't afford more.

I think this is a very good topic, and surprise, I have an opinion on it. While many of the traveling ladies that I see advertising they are coming on day such and such wanting prebookings never end up coming. Some that come and then advertise end up placing ads everywhere which leads me to believe they are not busy. Also, many small market ladies need to worry about overexposure at home and business is worse there then here. Now I would also bet you, you could negotiate a lower price with a traveling lady especially if she is not getting the business she thought she would get. I also believe the economy is much worse in other parts of the country than here and they have the same problem of new younger women over running their area also. I for one am very satisfied with the quality of the Dallas ladies here now and in the past. I feel we have the best in the US right here in the Trinity River valley. I traveled the US for 10 years and played everywhere I went, DALLAS HAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMEN IN THE HOBBY BAR NONE. I will continue to patronize the local ladies, screw all of the traveling high and/or over priced women.

Ummmm negotiate ? NEVER. Boy that was about the quickest on a list off a list.

I can't speak for other ladies but I can speak for my self. I normally give a 2 weeks notice in my ad's and I won't show up if I don't have appointments.

Some just don't plan much within their business. Others do.

I agree DFW has many wonderful ladies whom have had to perfect their skills due to the number in the area. However - beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Sometimes those who aren't just drop dead gorgeous have better skills.

I'm with Chipper on this one. There will always be those that pay traveling prices and are glad to do it. Just as there are those that will only pay less that $200. I personally will not visit ANY traveling lady regardless of price.

I will not pay for less quality than the ladies offer here even at the same price. As I stated earlier the ladies of Dallas are first class in every way. As for your comment horse trainer, I never intended to see these traveling ladies (I really do not consider you a traveling lady in the first place) and as for negotiating, I personally don’t on pricing with local ladies. My comment was intended if someone want to see some of these ladies and they are not getting the play that they had anticipated, they would probably negotiate. I have never haggled prices with any provider, if her rates are more than I can afford or willing to pay, I don’t see them. Just wanted to clarify my statements.

I am with controlfrreak on this one. I too have traversed the entire United States and Dallas is by far the best hobbying city in the country. We are so blessed to have THE MOST BEAUTIFUL and CLASSIEST women in the business right here in our own back yard. I get calls from other friends/hobbyists venting thier jealousy on me as well as asking for referrals for the girls right here with whom they could see when in town.

It makes no sense to see the visitors especially if the price is above market. However, who am I to judge how one spends thier own hard earned income? For me, when I used to travel extensively for work, some of the other boards made great sense in scouting for the next happy hour. So perhaps without a feel for how the locals do business or where to go exactly to have that certain itch scratched one can be a victim of the popularity of providers on other boards which might be more national in content.

Dallas and to a degree all of Texas is so much different than any other part of the country I have hobbied in. However, let me make it clear that I stand by my original premise is that the best is all right here. I have seen porn stars from LA, excotic providers from Las Vegas, east coast lookers from New York and Boston, party firls in Miami---and none come close to the overall quality and enjoyment found right here. Thanks ladies for giving me the opportunity to be so darned lucky!!

I suspect some of it is the opportunity to see someone they normally can't. If you want to see Local Lady, well, no rush to do it this week because she'll be here when you get around to it. Whereas this week is your only opportunity for quite a while to see Traveling Lady. (Ever notice how you're most likely to see the local sights/attractions when you have company from out of town?)

But I don't see traveling ladies very often at all, myself. I'd rather audition a local lady who might become a regular.

There's a lot more differentiation between ladies than the small number of different car makes and models, and less consensus/agreement that a certain make/model is preferable to another. My Cadillac may be your Chevy and vice-versa. Aren't you the guy who coined "WALDT"?

Although subject to some constraints, I generally choose based on who I'd like to see rather than their respective rates. If I really want to see Sally rather than Ethel, that influences my decision much more than a $50 or $100 difference in their rates would. For what I'm looking for, they're just not that interchangable.

I am a traveling lady. I live approximately 175 miles or so from the DFW area. Seeing me any time is a option but then there is the higher rate for me to make the special trip.

It's ok ... OKC and Tulsa seem to think I am a local there as well... and I live 100 miles plus from each of those. Ladies like to travel there more and more because they do a good job at supporting visitors.

I'm kind of in a class by myself. I'm not really "local" any where. But yet all treat me as such... and typical question is "are you in town?" I always respond "I will be when you set a appointment" ... Or there is enough interest for me to make the trip, get a incall etc. I do not travel with out appointments. I seem to be one of the ones that is chatted with but not always scheduled with if I do plan - because "THERE IS ALWAYS NEXT TIME" ... my trips down have been getting less and less.

LOL - thanks Chevalier. I thought I was the only one who knew that. Or at least maybe I just dreamed. I'm soooooo confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess if it was me traveling, I'd take my $200 ride to New York and have more than I could handle than bringing my $400 ass to Dallas where the competition is just toooooo much.
