Drinking before an appointment
So, I had an interesting encounter recently and I'm curious to hear the opinions of some of our providers. I had scheduled an appointment with a UTR provider who is a friend of friend. Sometimes I will stop and have drink on the way to an appointment, particularly if I have not met with the individual before, just to relax a bit and take the edge off of some of the awkwardness that can transpire with an initial visit. Mind you, I have a drink or two fairly often, but rarely ever drink to the point of impairment and never when I'm out. Upon arriving and after an initial kiss, I was asked "Have you been drinking?" and an obvious air of discomfort became apparent. I simply said "yes, I had a drink on the way. Is that a problem?". While she backtracked a bit on her comfort level, it felt apparent that she was not comfortable with this and I politely declined the appointment, gave her a smaller donation for her time and suggested that we reschedule for some other time. Now, maybe there is a personal issue there, I don't have any background on that. But, I'm curious if that is a wider issue for others that maybe I just haven't thought about. Please weigh in if you have an opinion.

Drink before appointments? Isn't that part of the ho process (pun, get it?). I have a couple beers or glasses of wine every time. And if I've met my PSE-soul mate, I go with a Jack 'n Coke or two. It's supposed to be fun for fuck sake.

I think the ladies don't like it because it makes it harder for most guys to nut. Hookers don't like to work hard.

Beer dick makes it harder to get them in, get them off and get them out.
And i bet guys who show up drunk have more of a tendency to smack them around and get rough.

I rarely drink before an appointment, partly because I usually schedule day time appointments, but mostly because I prefer to be sober for sex. With some of the providers around these days, I'm starting to rethink that practice, though. Beer goggles might be useful.

I've showed up to appointments, and immediately needed a drink. Does that count?
I can't really blame them. They're working, and it's often tough to deal with drunk clients in any business. The amount you drank is irrelevant - they have no idea of what you're like when you're buzzed. I can imagine a provider-only thread titled 'horror stories of drunk clients' would be as good as any of our 'horror stories of stoned providers.'
That being said - I've done it on occasion, I've done it sometimes after getting to know a girl, and I've gotten drunk to forget appointments, with sporadic success. My point - I can't fault a provider for preferring sober clients. In fact, that also seems to imply that I'd be able to count on her being sober as well - that's a high bar for some of these girls to clear!
In my business, I prefer my clients are sober as well.

Yeah, I get being drunk. Different scenario though. Most of my appointments are daytime as well, and I'm not the buzzed driving kind of guy either. I had A shot of marker's mark on the rocks and moved on. Couldn't possibly have blown even close to the legal limit at my body mass and not even a small buzz. Just seemed a little over the top and hadn't run into that before. I don't know, maybe she's on the wagon and it offended her. She wasn't too happy about me walking, but it just felt weird at that point.

Not saying you are like this but usually "a few drinks" is Bullshit or they show up slightly buzzed then get shit drunk half way through because the shots they did hit their system.
I will have a glass of wine/champagne or 2 with a Gent and have no issue with that if he doesn't show up smelling like it.
My experiences with men drinking in the hobby have not been great.
1. i was invited out to drink predate said hell no and don't drink much before we meet, he was a ncns then later called me begging me to outcall because he was too drunk to drive.
2. Guy shows up with wine we have a glass then start on a 2nd and then he starts crying and drinking out of the bottle telling me about his wife he bought from Russia hating him and refusing to speak English and her only teaching their kids Russian and how they hate him too then he locked himself in my bathroom crying and took a bath.
3. An idiot thought it would be a great idea to pour red wine on us and lick it off (in a hyatt on a white bed...)
4. Blew a guy for 2 hours straight LITERALLY because his whisky Dick was so bad then after he came i came back with a warm wash clothe and he was passed out cold snoring IN the bed. I let him sleep through his 3rd hour while i showered and got ready to go out.
Because of these issues i hardly tour weekends anymore and when i do i don't take dates after 10pm because usually that's when trouble starts.
