Default Sent PM's not saving

I can receive and send PM's the received are saved but the send pm's are not. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Click on USER CP in the main menu

Under "Settings and Options" select "Edit Options"

Under "Messaging and Notifications" at the very bottom of this section you will see the following
 
When sending private messages the forum can make a copy of the message in your Sent Items folder.
(check box here) Save a copy of sent messages in my
Sent Items folder by default

I also learned the hard way that if you send a "Quick Reply" it will not be saved.
