Humm although I was an English major before I switched to Spanish in my third year, I have only met a handful of ppl who actually speak proper English. I'm not sure if I can inspire anyone to be a "speller". Surely, however they can aspire to be whatever they please. I have no doubt that with all of the spell checkers in cyber space and available on the web, this will probably be at the bottom of the list for them.
If you find a spelling error in my post it will most likely be due to the online spell check recommended here freezing up my Internet Explorer (so now I choose not to use it), and me being too lazy to re-read the context and/or typing it in Word beforehand.
The spelling and grammatical errors are minor. I'd rather focus on the affect that the message has instead of trying to diminish his intentions.
