coming out and hoping not to get thrown out ;)
I'm a civilian, a writer, and I lurk here occasionally out of curiosty, and at times as research for projects. I've met and know a few people here and have been open about my status. For the most part, it's never been a problem.
Question for providers: would you ever tell your story to a writer if you felt confident it was confidential?
For the gentlemen, is a civilian ever welcome in this world?

To what purpose Bettie? You can't service either the men or the women. So it would appear that the whole exercise is one for your own gratification.
Now, don't get me wrong. You're welcome here if you choose to be here and, as a writer, you may even contribute in a meaningful way. I'm waiting for you to post pix though. You might find this game an interesting hobby.

Yes, I admit it's selfish
No, I can't offer to service anyone here. As is obvious, writers tend to be selfish self-involved people (as are many hobby people). As some here are aware I've lurked these waters for a long time and am well aware how interesting and seductive the hobby life can be.
As for what I bring to the table, I tell a mean story for whatever that's worth. Often the stories I spin are based in truth. Thus, the desire to talk to providers and hear first hand stories.
As for a picture, I haven't figured out how to do that.

I thought your name sounded familiar from the old HDH board. Welcome back.

A couple of thoughts:
1) A good reminder to the community...there are a lot of lurkers out there...not all of them with motives that are similar to ours.
2) There are other admitted non-participants out there that actively participate on this board.
3) There is a reaspn providers are not welcoming reporters with open arms: they been screwed in the past more times than they can count
4) PJ & the rest of the pic crew....be careful what you ask for....this one may well have the same equiptment as you

2) No I was not referring to Charles. He reports active participation, just not with a success rate he is pleased with. I won't name names, but there is at least one active male poster that says he doesn't hobby but has a best friend that is a provider (he likes to talk physics). There are several retired providers. There are also several service providers to the providers (photographers, web designers, etc.). I'm sure there are more.
Personally, I wonder, but far be it from me to do anything but be welcoming
3)

I doubt that you will find many escorts here who would be willing to talk to a writer. We are paid to be discreet. This is why my blog is so boring lol I feel it would be very disrespectful to write stories about my clients even if I tried to keep it vague.

I am sure that this forum attracts all types not just clients, and escorts.I think it would be interesting to hear from a non escorts point of view. That is why I have always enjoyed Bella hhd's posts.

Personally, in real life, I'm pretty much of a 1st Amendment supporter. However, in this world, and on this Board especially, accommodating members of the Fourth Estate can be dangerous to this community.
First of all, we all know that LE lurks, and may even participate in the Board. However, you get LE and writers talking, and I believe things can be dangerous especially for those on this board. And it doesn't have to be willing on the part of the writer. Once LE has honed into a writer, they could force the writer to disclose illegal activity. And if any member believes that writers (read "reporters") have the right to confidential communications, ask the reporters at the New York Times that spent months in jail for contempt.
If it were up to me, I would counsel against any such free talking either with LE or writers or both.

In all honesty, one should never trust a reporter. A common mistake, the currency of any decent reporter is information. But, in a forum such as this, there's little to be gained by disclosing secrets. As far as I can tell LE oftens turns a blind eye. Heck, so many providers have extensive information on their websites why would anyone think the law couldn't track down anyone playing the game? And, any truly high dollar HDH most likely has a publicist and a book deal in hand, no?
The real reporters you must avoid are the TV people, the ones running with expensive heavy cameras and shark like reflexes. That's not me. But, I do work in the media and it's not fair to con people out of their stories if there's trouble involved. My question was purely hypothetical.
Writers and most especially reporters are the most curious nosey people you will ever find. The good ones don't kiss and tell, just like the best providers. But, you never know for sure until the story breaks.

More than likely a real escort HDH , or not would never write a book in the first place. It would be so unethical to accept money for discretion from your clients only to turn around , and write a book about your time with them once you retire.Of course there will always be some who try to cash in on the publics interest, but a good companion keeps her private moments private .

The very nature of talking to the media means that it is not confidential. I wouldn't' trust a reporter or writer as far as I could throw them unless I had say in the final written piece.
The men in my life and the life I lead is far too precious to be gambled on 15 minutes of empty fame.
The media has caused great damage to the lives of people in the Companionship community, even when portraying us in a kind light. We are sadly marginalized, and anything that leads to our identity being discovered disrupts a person's entire life and causes irreparable damage - all in the name of breaking the latest story. So while writers and reporters wake up and have their next morning coffee, chasing the next story, the subjects of their tales often are left hurt if not devastated.
Personally, I'd like to know I can post here without having to worry about it being used for an article, book, or tv show.
The nature of writer's does not have to be selfish and self fulfilling. That's a cop out. They have social responsibility when creating their work, a personal responsibility to be ethical, and a moral responsibility to do right by their subjects.
