Smile Gas Prices

everybody drives something different and some dont drive at all but the price of oil effects everybody .

According to the mainstream news Russian oil made up 8% of what america was consuming .

If gas is lets use a nice round number like four dollars a gallon well then 8% of 4 dollars is 32 cents .

So as gas prices go above the 32 cent increase and as prices on everything else goes up remember that we are in the trusted hands of a administration that has chosen to appoint people like the secretary of energy who when asked how many barrels of oil a day the united states uses a day her reply was [ I dont know i dont have those numbers in front of me ].

I drive a 1918 stanley steamer it runs on water and coal and firewood not a 4x4 1 ton truck that gets almost 7 miles to the gallon so i could really give a shit thats why i wrote this ...

Driving a Stanley Steamer sounds better than a Cleveland Steamer.

If the energy secretary doesn’t know how much crude we use in a day that is truly scary.
On a personal note, I committed the ultimate blunder a couple months ago. I bought a diesel pickup. At the time it was a good decision for me. 25 mpg, and minimal additional initial cost for the engine I was pleased with my purchase. The premium for diesel vs. gas was only 40 cents locally so the payoff of better mileage was short term.
Fast forward a couple months, the spread is now a dollar plus and I’ll never recoup the added cost. I’m sure the resale of the vehicle has dropped also.

Diesel are great and the extra power is worth the costs especially if you are working the truck .

Should not even be able to tell your pulling a trailer with the right mods .

On the other hand my gasoline truck i find myself looking in the mirror for the fifth wheel behind me when there is not one .

i have had almost 4 thousnd pounds in the bed and it barely made the truck squat but just not enough power for me .

Love my diesel truck, but less than one year old and started having problems with DEF. Had to wait 2 months for the part. Got it back just in time to put 5$/gallon diesel in it...

Guess I’m not the only dumbass. I’m very familiar with Diesel engines but not familiar with all the emissions junk. I hope I never find out. I does drive differently in the iowa hills. No shifting and no need to push down on the accelerator when climbing hills.

People pick the weirdest fucking things to obsess over. Why the fuck would you expect a cabinet member to have a rando factoid at the top of their mind ready to repeat? Oddly specific and irrelevant.

It’s simple minded bullshit to think that gas prices would be linearly correlated to a single event. Commodities markets don’t work like that. Prices are driven by speculation on the open market. You’d bitch even harder if the current administration actually exercised direct control of gas prices.

Saints preserve us from brain rotted maga jerkoffs.

Why I expected the secretary of energy to know the fact of how many barrels the usa uses a day is because the day she got asked that question was Nov 23 2021 the day Biden released 50 million barrels from the strategic reserve .

She was interviewed shortly there after admitting that she didnt have a clue and was not consulted on the release ahead of time because she was appointed to the position simply to get votes from her gender geographic as she states her education and back ground are in a totally un related field .

I sense some aggression in the maga jack off rant. Must be because this administration sucks more than the last one .
But why would anybody expect the secretary of energy to know how many barrels of oil a day we use on the day the president declared a emergency and released reserves ? I mean nobody would if there a Democrat pushing a socialist agenda.
NOBODY

P.s
Oh yah Weird obsession

Maybe, just maybe The fucktard in charge has effected the commodity market based on national policy. I’m not real smart but maybe that had some effect on the futures speculation… maybe

The logic here is wrong. Let's go through this step by step.

1.) Putin fucks up and gets into a lose lose situation.
2.) US + Others Ban Russian oil imports.
3.) US + Others now have to replace the Russian oil they import.
4.) Price of oil increase WORLDWIDE due to expected increase in demand.
5.) OPEC Increase oil production to meet demand. (Saudi Arabia and UAE still in limbo on their decisions on this)
6.) Prices level out, maybe even drop back down slightly.

Price of oil is set by demand, there is no magical 8% that floats into this. If step 5 can't be accomplished, gas prices have no cap as to how high they are expected to increase.

Countries are expecting this to speed up the shift to renewables even quicker than before, but this is all assuming WW3 doesn't kick off in the coming weeks/months.

Yes I saw and heard Biden give his announcement on the sanctions, he spent about 40 seconds on talking about Russia and about 5 minutes explaining why his green new deal is so f ing great , .

The only thing he forgot to mention is going back to Afghanistan because he thinks the Taliban could reduce there carbon foot print and we forgot to leave them a thousand teslas so we should apologize and rapidly go leave them behind also.
$383.00 is what it cost each individual tax payer for the items abandoned and ordered to leave behind
But .
After all the green new deal makes alot of sense,

Just imagine the tire fires right now in Ukraine.

Hey there at war live or die I get it.

How many polar bears does a huge tire fire kill ?
.
The 19th nome of upper eqypt was a fertile river valley and dam if those gasoline engines thousands of years ago didnt just ruin it and turn it into a desert wasteland

Rant
