The Art of Visual Appeal
or in simpler terms ....how a woman should dress
From my perspective, this quote sums it up
"There is a real vulgarity in the way women dress at the moment. They show off too much and try too hard. They don't understand where the line is between sexy and vulgar. I know where that line is."
- Roberto Cavalli
Do you sympathize, digress...?
or does the following suit your preferences better?
"A dress makes no sense unless it inspires a man to take it off you."
- Francoise Sagan
Naturally, this brings me to the topic of...
As you already know women have a strong tie with emotional shopping
The way I feel when trying on a new beautiful dress
and seeing myself in the mirror ....it just instantly brightens up my day and confidence
and to find a pair of matching heels - and I'm in Heaven aka feelin like a million
While I don't consciously do this, I tend to go for bright colors that compliment my skin tone, and soft sensuous fabric ...I love silk, velvet, chiffon
The way a silk dress blows in the wind accentuating curves
unless you're here in Windy City and the wind blows up your dress
only happened enough times for me to become comfortable in
being an exhibitionist
I believe a dress should tell a story - the mystery of the woman underneath
A few peaks but not an open book
I also think a dress should require a few more steps in removing ....not too easy
a belt to slowly untie ....few buttons to carefully unclasp ....
peeling off the dress to reveal a slip underneath
And then to discover ....

Agree! For me there is nothing as sexy as a woman in an evening dress. The mystery of a gorgeous body underneath it all is a true turn on.

If you are on a mission to be the most desired woman on ECCIE, you are off to a fine start. Each new thread more provocative than the last.

i totally agree with roberto cavalli's quote on this. one of the problems with women who grew up in american culture is that many don't know the difference between skanky and sensuous. both can achieve the effect of attracting men by accentuating a woman's sexuality, however, the former conveys the idea of just 'sex', while the latter is what generally defines the idea of 'sexy'.
the easiest way to describe an example of this idea is taken from the many school dances i had to chaperone, as i have been teacher an innercity high school in the past. i'm going to try not to stereotype, but for the vast majority, those who were raised in african american culture danced with a raw vulgarity. the dancing involved no thought or skill, and it was obvious that its sole objective was purely to get a rise out of the guy; the whole thing was basically performed for his pleasure. when watching hispanic-americans dance, it was much more sensual. it followed a certain learned pattern of steps to follow, which increased the interaction between, and the involvement of, the guy with the girl. the dance itself was more of a communication between the two dancers, each responding to the actions of the other. while both were highly sexual in nature, one had a certain air of class, while the other seemed very much classless.

Nothing is sexier than a woman wearing jeans & a tank top or a simple summer dress.

Well, since I'm materialistic, demanding and self-righteous (along with a lot of other things) I've learned to value those traits in others. But I didn't realize American woman had so cornered the market. So, thank you. You've brightened my day.

For me, clothing should accentuate the lady. In other words function should follow form. Yes, I know the reverse of the famous saying. By that I mean a lady needs to ensure her choice of dress matches her body. If you don't have the body to wear a certain style, then please don't. You may think it is sexy, but to a guy it is not. For example, women of size should not try to wear something slinky like a form fitting spandex mini-dress or mini-skirt with a form fitting top. Also, thin girls should not wear something that is flowing and hides your femininity.

Sounds racist to me....and it also sounds like the truth. How do we reconcile the two? It is illegal to have truth and racism intersect, isnt it?

The sexiest dress I ever saw was made from buckskin. It covered everything, but the way it draped over the curves took my breath away. There are a lot of beautiful types of clothing to wear, depending on the situation. A lot of women do try to show to much in public. The worst examples I see are in the grocery checkout line. The tabloids always show the "stars" dressed in some awful get up. Too little taste and too much money. Ms Sarafina is an anomaly in the escort world. She has such interesting viewpoints. She raises lots of questions about sexuality in a respectable, thoughtful manner. Class without arrogance or snobbishness.
One good thing about loose dresses is they blow up in the wind!
I especially like blouse/skirt combinations. A long, flowing skirt to the ankles.

well this isn't exactly a thread meant to debate such topics lol ...but american women do have a reputation to be very independent, outspoken traits which I admire ...yet they also have lost a sense of grace and womanliness, manners, etiquette. It seems like the feminist movement has done more damage than good.

Remind me to ask you to come shopping with me...I think it's so sexy when a man has patience and appreciation to help choose something nice for the lady to wear ...it's such a special treat. Oh ...and shoes too! Trying on different heels ....very hot form of foreplay itself
