We'll see in November, but I suspect that Obama will fall short of getting 100% of the women's vote. I'd expect him to get about 53-57% of that demographic.

On August 13, The Wall Street Journal disclosed that "The latest Wall Street Journal-NBC News poll showed that President Obamaleads Mr. Romney 54% to 39% among women. The gap gets truly staggering when it comes to college-educated women. Here, Mr. Obama leads 63%-32%."

Obama only got 52% of white women vote in 2008; he won't do that well in 2012. There is very little disction in the black women vs. black men voting patterns; so their vote is meaningless in terms of polling.....just assume they will vote the same as in 2008....but their turnout numbers will be lower, so Obama has to make up for that lost vote somehow else....

The women vote while important, isn't as decisively Obama when you dig into the weeds.

Mr. Akin is a member of the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology.

The democrats don't treat this as serious. Akins is one member of a committee and one member of the Congress. He is an idiot but that doesn't disqualify several members of Congress from serving. The democrats are trying to make the ridiculous case that all Republicans think the same way as Akins. That is ridiculous. There are doctors on the GOP side serving in Congress. The democrats don't care a crap about women's issues unless that caring gets them elected. The White House pays women less than men for the same job. They treat women like dogs if they don't go along with the BS dished out by the party. Note Hillary, Sarah Palin, Monica, Kathleen Willey, and Mary Joe Kopeckne. Democrats have treated women like used condoms in their private lives; Gary Condit, John Edwards, John Kerry, Bill Clinton, Jesse Jackson, Wilbur Mills, Elliot Spitzer, and any Kennedy. Republicans are far from perfect but they have married their affairs instead of killing, humiliating, or casting them aside.
