the short answer is it can't be done. 10 years ago maybe. not now. 10 years ago you could run software on a PC and make a little, then the hashrate required to hash and submit a block went up where people started using high end video cards chained together for their graphic processing power. then that became not enough and gave rise to the ASIC world. ASIC = Application Specific Integrated Circuit.

these are dedicated stand alone devices designed just for bitcoin mining.

this is what people are using now

and not just one of them. rooms full of them

this is what you are up against today ...

today a small scale operation still can be done but it will take more than one PC to do it.

if you want to make a little extra cash here is some articles on how

Best Bitcoin Mining Software

this guy did a home mining setup. this is what you are up against.

bitcoin mining is hugely expensive in terms of electricity and the heat output is unreal. it's why the large scale operations seek out places that are always cold like Iceland and Greenland and Siberia. natural cooling

this video is for PC based mining. have not watched it all but he claims it still can be done on a PC

here is the scale the big boys are at .. it's huge.

Just saw this browsing so here's what you might be asking:

If you're looking to just outright buy Bitcoin for cash, then you need to sign up with an exchange that allows buying crypto for fiat (regular money)

I used Binance when I bought a few hundred Doge for $50 (just in case it became the next BTC)

As for mining at home? Can be done but dont expect to make mad cash/crypto. First, you'll need a video card capable of it. Nvidia's GeForce 3090's are popular for the home miner willing to spend $3000 on the video card. If its a LHR card, then its mining ability has been crippled quite a bit. Second, you'll need the software. BetterHash & EasyMiner are two of the more "User Friendly" ones.
Thirdly, you will want a crypto account with an exchange such as Binance or Coinomi, unless you have a wallet (online or physical).

My old Geforce970GTX is too damn old to mine efficiently. Most I've made in 4 months is $12 BTC. I dont directly mine BTC though. I have it mine easier cryptos like ZCASH. I was mining DOGE for a month but again, too old video card. Made a whole 1 DOGE.

And just a heads up if you try mining at home- Windows 10 dings the software as a "virus" even if its not.

So yes, you can mine crypto at home, just not bitcoin. You mine other currencies, and have it converted.

Well im not looking in to bit mining.

What i need is bitcoin wallet that works under windows10.
An exchange that doesnt require an iphone/android app to make exchanges.

I tried to do the exchange app on android emulator under win 10. Didn't work.

Try Coinomi. It has both web and app. Most of the ones I mentioned have both. Coinomi also lets you buy Crypto for cash (fiat), and for deposits/withdrawls it gives a screen on your phone or desktop with a security code & a QR Code.

There's always a physical wallet, which is basically an encrypted thumb drive.
