It sounds like backpage is really going to fight this, but I think ultimately, they'll lose and buckle under like Craigslist did. Although, I know there's other advertising avenues, I just wonder how many girls that will have to hit the streets if they can't put ads on backpage.

BP has gone back to paid advertising, though the rate structure has changed.

BP is no better or worse than it has been for years, and no better or worse than CL was before it.

BP has some slightly stronger legs to stand on than CL had, but eventually they will probably be shut down as well. But internet hooking is here to stay. When one goes down, another will spring up to takes its place, and the band will play on.
