I see your Colin Powell and raise you.
Over 500 retired generals and admirals support Romney. I guess that takes care of the Powell problem.

Oh, so you admit Powell was a problem?
I call your admirals and raise you military donations:
Quote:
Now, though, the military's support has shifted toward Obama. Romney has consistently received little financial backing from military donors. Despite the fact that Paul once raised almost twice as much as Obama did from the military, the president has received $536,414 from military donors, compared to Paul's $399,274 and Romney's $287,435, according to research by the Center for Responsive Politics. These numbers are based on donations greater than $200, as reported to the Federal Election Commission. [...]
Contributing $176,121, the Department of Defense is Obama's biggest supporter, with the Army not far behind with $165,646. The Navy sits in third at $86,656. In comparison, Romney's top military contributor is the Army with $87,218, followed by the Department of Defense with $71,043 in contributions.

The Daily Kos???? I get better news from my cats ass. Try again with something like Navy Times.
I did some research for you. What you didn't say was that Obama donations run from January until today, whereas Romney did not become the presumptive candidate until May of this year.
http://www.opposingviews.com/i/money...k-obama-romney
Here is the last paragraph of the story;
Correction: This story was changed to accurately reflect that eight of the 11 military branches analyzed have given more to Republican presidential candidates, not Romney alone. Additionally, the sentence detailing which branches give the most money to Romney has been updated with correct numbers.
Obama still maintains a five month lead in money but the votes (and that is what counts) are leaning heavily towards Romney.

Ekim I am truely surprised. You claim to be a veteran (and I have no reason to believe otherwise) and you put out that bullshit about Swift Boat Captains. There are no captains on a swift boat. There is a boat commander who is probably a LT. Those were Swift Boat crewman and officers. As a fellow veteran don't be offensive. SON! DON'T CALL ME SIR! I WORK FOR A LIVING!

Doesn't matter Ekim, don't worry about it. This idiot tried to imply that Romney had some advantage because of these 500 generals and admirals and you know what?
It didn't amount to a hill of beans. ROMNEY LOST.

Oh Markie Mark... you remind me of the movie Unbreakable with Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson. Jackson is a comic book collector and he was explaining about the paradigm. The villain has overly large eyes because his perception is skewed, he sees the world in an odd way. That's you. You are the villain. You have made some stupid statement but mostly you totally misquote people. I thought that you were stupid or rabidly partisan but now I think you don't see the world clearly. Take the quote above. I NEVER said that 500 ADMIRALS (navy people) and generals saying they don't trust the leadership of Obama. Now you say that I think (how you read my mind I don't know) that somehow that signaled I thought that was balance. I was responding to a previous quote about how somehow Colin Powells support was a counterweight.
Why don't you get some professional help, sit back and read some things and then try to understand them.

It's a Buck-Fifty now.
I can remember when a General Officer was someone to be respected, and if you were a lowly draftee, feared.
Now most are just brief case carriers.
