Is the Democratic nominee still on the sidelines?
I think he/she is. I think the DNC elders are Squamish about Biden. He clearly doesn’t have it. The rest of the contenders are too far left. Sanders, Warren and Harris don’t have broad appeal in fly over country. I always thought Bloomberg would emerge sooner or later.
Your thoughts if any?

it is possible, but highly unlikely.. that person would need to mobilize, get an organization in place.. unless it's a slam-dunk candidate.
Michelle Obama is NOT that candidate.. I am perplexed at all the Republicans who have said "game over" if she runs, that Trump has no chance against her. I don't think Michelle has a prayer. nor would Bloomberg. some people get lost in a "profile", thinking XXX is THE candidate, but reality is all together different. lots of people thought Ted Kennedy would be perfect in 1980, but the party machine doesn't just let anyone in, support or no support.

why not be real? you know that is not true. "any" functioning adult will defeat Trump?
that kind of thinking will ensure a landslide victory for Trump.

A good idea - but Winfrey will never win the top nomination
however: Clinton/Winfrey for 2020 - waiting in the wings.

Anything will be better than 2016... two of the most hated candidates of all time. Voter apathy was huge.

I think it’s painfully obvious to the people that run the DNC is that Biden is out of it. The silver lining is he’s leading the polls, which means a majority of Democrats don’t want a Socialist yet. But the other moderates in the race won’t qualify for the next debate. The DNCs main goal is to defeat Trump since the Russian coup failed. Biden will be a bigger disaster than Hillary. I think Bloomberg will get in. He’s an egomaniac that doesn’t need to raise money.

I will ask you the same question.. why not be real? the OP asked a good question, why not attempt to put critical thinking skills to use, instead of a stupid response you know is absurd?

Buttigieg will qualify, but he might be it. Biden is as bad as Hillary, agreed.. and from that same old school cloth, the Democrats have to flee from that orbit anyway, even if Biden was "steady". I disagree about Bloomberg, but even if you are right, what makes you think he would matter?

Tulsi seems to be the sanest of the bunch but, her anti-military-industrial complex stance makes her an enemy of MSM and her Hare-krishna videos won't play well in the bible belt.
I wonder how many of her progressive supporters would be behind her if her videos replaced Lord Krishna with Lord Jesus ?

Steyer just got in, but he’s a kook too. Bloomberg is bright and articulate and surely could stand up to Trump on the debate stage. I also think he would appeal to Independents and never Trumpers. The Dems will vote who’s on the ticket.
