Just saw a post on another site saying that there were a bunch of police at a massage parlor near Lomas and 12th street. Anyone have any more information?

Haha. Nope. I did reach out to three of my friends who have worked in Albuquerque AMPs for years, one of which owns several local shops. They hadn't heard anything about it.

About two months ago, I drove by CH Massage near TD's off San Mateo and there were police going in and out of the building. There were both marked and unmarked vehicles, I didn't stick around to watch to long.

So this may be rumor or hearsay but a friend of mine in the business who's name I'll leave out of this but everyone knows her, told me that a complaint was made by a pissed off customer who claimed he was sexually assaulted when he went there for a massage. Police opened an investigation which lead them to the overtly sexual advertising which was enough to get a warrant. She pulled her ads down and several other owners have pulled their ads and are replacing them with more conservative ads. Some are still using the same stupid advertising! LOL. After what happened I'd call that Ballsy as hell! Or just plain stupid.

I wonder how your friend knows that was the case. If a pissed off client went to the police and claimed sexual assault...how would word spread, unless that guy told other amp owners what he did. IDK. Not saying they or you are lying, just doesn't make sense to me.

Being so close to the downtown judicial district with that type of advertising...was a matter of time before LE went after them.

A lot of amp in town have very suggestive ads. Probably won't go to another until after the summer.

@mecca the source is pretty reliable. Been here for a few years and she owns a few shops. These women all know each other and have group chats where they talk about everything, including us! LOL
Like I said, may be rumor and is certainly hearsay. Just passing on the info I was told... I agree about staying away from the AMPs that use that type of advertising. Some are still at it!
