Kim text me again this morning at 6:30am – SERIOUSLY?! 6:30am? (this after me texting a "final text" last night and telling het to NOT text again. (that broke one of my cardinal rules. NEVER CONTACT ME UNSOLICITED.) Anyway....

KIM: "Sorry, I thought the problem was fixed but it wasn't. My concern was getting back home."
ME: "So why didn't you respond to my text or let me know you weren't coming?"
KIM: I was stressed and trying to deal with the car."

Excuses are like a**holes ... Everyone has one and most of them stink. It takes 10-60 seconds to send a text and let someone know you can't make it for whatever reason. Excuse is unacceptable.

Was I out any $$? Only the time to drive across town in rush hour traffic, and the extra gas it took to get there. If I put a dollar figure on my time (since that IS what "I" am paying for – or so I am told), I would say I'm out at least $150 since it took me an hour to make tht drive.

But you are right, there are worse things, and I did come home with two+ bills that will eventually go to a lucky Austin lady.
