As a ardent James Bond fan, I am stunned by the loss of one of the worlds greatest male actors.

A fine man the Scottish people should be proud of.

I will have drink for you Mr. Bond, you served the movie industry well.

Scotland - James Bond - Sean Connery will be remembered forever.

Need to find my copy of the "Man Who Would Be King" and rewatch it. He was a man's man.

If you watch "Goldfinger" again, notice that they rarely zero in on Goldfinger's lips while speaking. He was German.

Auric Goldfinger was played by German actor Gert Fröbe. Fröbe, who did not speak English well, was dubbed in the film by Michael Collins, an English actor. In the German version, Fröbe dubbed himself back again. Goldfinger was banned in Israel after it was revealed that Fröbe had been a member of the Nazi Party.

An interesting local story about Mr. Connery I got from a dancer at a Dallas strip club. She told me she used to be a bartender at The Mens Club. One day an older white gentleman spent most of a long afternoon hanging out at the bar talking to her and getting an occasional lap dance. At the end of the day he tipped her $6000! After he left a manager rushed up to her and asked what it was like talking with Sean Connery. Her response: "Who's Sean Connery?". SMH.

I met him in D.C., I would not have expected he had ever been to Dallas.

I may watch my personal favorite Bond flick: From Russia With Love tonight. For you trivia nerds you might lookup my favorite Bond/Connery spyfi flick: 'OK Connery', AKA 'Operation Kid Brother', AKA 'Double 007', which stared Lois Maxwell (Miss Moneypenny), the chap who played M, Daniella Bianchi 'Tania Romaniva', and others from various Connery/Bond Movies and Sean's brother Neal Connery playing James Bonds brother. It's an Italian spy botch-job of a movie, but still a hoot.
