Is that where she gives you a BBBJ with no spectators? An empty bedroom arena... just don’t cough...

The world has officially gone freakin’ crazy...

What will they reduce the price of a case to?
Oh, different issue.

Seriously though, was talking to a major hospital senior nurse, I said: Less than one month of auto accident deaths, she said less than one month of cancer related deaths. Then we both said "perspective" simultaneously.

NCAA has cancelled March Madness. NBA indefinitely suspends season. BIG 10 has cancelled ALL spring events, including recruiting visits. It is getting serious out there.

On the other hand since they were the unanimous overall #1 seed, may as well go ahead and give them the trophy!!

The absolute most devastating pestilence the world has ever known was the 1918 influenza pandemic, which killed so many people that they cannot accurately count them. About ten percent of the world population contracted the virus, and about 10% of those afflicted died from it, making it fatal to approximately 1% of the entire world. The death estimates are between 20 and 50 million. Of course, this was before any sort of viable medical intervention that even the most basic medical center has available now. This will never be seen again in the modern world. There was nothing particularly virulent about that strain. It traveled so readily because of the movement of people during WWI. The average world wide death rate for influenza is about 30,000 a year.

It's all about perspective. We're up to 4000 people worldwide, give or take. How many people a year choke to death, or drown? How many die falling down the stairs or in the bathtub of their home? How many die of substance abuse? How many die on the toilet?
