Default Bill to regulate strip clubs resurfaces in Kansas

Yes, more legislation to regulate voluntary activity by consenting adults. Don't these clowns have better things to do? This wouldn't happen in a Libertarian state.

No, I did not vote for Governor Brownback, or any of the legislators involved.

Here's the article:

TOPEKA | A bill that seeks to regulate strip clubs and other adult businesses in Kansas has resurfaced in the Kansas House.

The measure would regulate where adult businesses can be located, and ban lap dances and dancing onstage in various levels of undress.

The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that a hearing on the measure is planned for Feb. 14 in the House Federal and State Affairs Committee.

But Rep. Arlen Siegfreid, an Olathe Republican, says he's unsure how eager lawmakers will be to vote on it and it's unclear if the committee will work on the bill this year.

When the bill was considered in Kansas in 2010 and 2011, it passed the House but died in the Senate.

Now that is a shock. StupidOldLyingFart did not vote for "Governor Brownback, or any of the legislators involved."

Hell no you didn't, you rarely if ever vote for anybody that has a snowballs chance in hell of winning an election. All you want to do is bitch and moan about every candidate and then justify your bitching and moaning by saying you "did not vote" for them.

StupidOldLyingFart has no core and is a self admitted liar!

But, but, but, ...

I thought you said letting the states secede would fix all of these "big government" problems?

I thought you said that states rights were good for what ails us?

I thought you said the 10th amendment would fix all this liberty crushing government control?

And NOW you're telling me state governments are not necessarily conducive to libertarianism?

You lied to me. I want my money back.

Get a grip.

The Dems are just as likely to try to restrict titty bars, gambling, alcohol, drugs, etc. They just use a different (and even dumber) set of justifications.

Like not allowing women to flash their titties because it enables the patriarchy to exploit them.

Or allowing gambling or liquor stores in certain locations because "the System" is placing those businesses there only to enslave and exploit minority communities - who for some reason have no willpower.

Or whatever fatuous theory liberal sociologists can come up with.

Re-read the Tenth Amendment. And I can get my state representatives on the phone, or visit them at work. It's much easier for the people's voices to be heard on the state level. It doesn't, however, prevent state governments from being stupid.

And if the people of this state want this type of legislation, it's perfectly Constitutional. Again, that doesn't mean it's the right thing to do, but states can do it. I just think it's a waste of time.

I reserve the right to complain about my state government whenever they go off track, just as I do the feds. State governments, or the choice of individuals, are where these type of decisions should be made. I'm making my voice heard. That's the way it's supposed to work.

I went to Wichita once.

They only have about 5 surnames in their phone book.

I saw dogs with human heads running around downtown.
