Increasing number of viewable posts in a thread

Right now it looks like the maximum number of posts you can have is about ten before a thread goes to add another page.

Is there a way to change that on my own profile so that I can see up to 50 posts on a single page?

I don't think there's a selection for this in the UserCP. I've set ours at 15 for now.

You can do 40, not 50 though. Go to user control panel, then click edit options, scroll down until you see below...
