What do you think about the IRS scandal unfolding in DC?
If what we are given is true (and it looks very likely that it is) we have a government agency that;
Targeted American citizens for scrutiny and audits (which could include fines and jail time) for political activity for positions counter to the White House.
Denied due process to American citizens following the law and then lied about it.
Lied to the United States Congress about their illegal and unconstitutional activities.
Lied to the American people about their illegal and unconstitutional activities.
Destroyed evidence against the express orders of the United States Congress.
Tried to cover up that the evidence was "missing" by fabricating the entire "computer crash" story that wants us to believe that the head of the IRS enforcement unit and six subordinates (all of whom have been subpoened) had simultaneous computer failures.
The IRS is stonewalling the American throught the United States Congress who are looking for answers.
So where do you stand?

The amjority of Congress is weak, scared shitless of the imp0ications and will do whatever they can to circle the wagons.
We need an independent investigator and prosecutor before we will ever get to the top of this.
If we had a justice department that was not so criminally corrupt, there would have been b struction of justice charges filed before now.

I think the last straw,( to date), was that smug punk director's testimony.
The IRS is out of control, doing the bidding of a corrupt Administration.
Will anything be done? Don't count on it. The Government is permiated with those that go by the creed, "Party first, Country second"

A bigger question is :
Do you think IRS employees should get paid by taxpayers to do union work while on our dime ?
Over 523,000 hours of IRS employee time spent on union activities....at a cost of about $25 million per year.

I have an idea. Let's eliminate the income tax, so it will no longer be a primary tool for cronyism and intimidation.

+1 Short of eliminating the IRS, the IRS should abide by the laws in place and be 100% apolitical in its operations.

House Republicans accused the IRS on Tuesday of violating federal record-keeping laws and seriously denting their investigation into a political targeting scandal by failing to notify the National Archives of a computer crash that wiped out potentially vital emails.
The Oversight and Government Reform Committee relied on top government archivists Tuesday to state their case that the IRS violated the Federal Records Act by not reporting it lost Lois Lerner’s emails from a hard drive that went on the fritz in 2011 and then into the recycle bin.
“They are required, any agency is required, to notify us when they realize they have a problem that could be destruction or disposal, unauthorized disposal,” said David S. Ferriero, archivist of the United States National Archives and Records Administration.
“They [the IRS] did not follow the law,” Ferriero added, after being pressed by GOP lawmakers.
