I called the attorney's office off the actual website and his assistant said the scammer tried this twice before with escorts in Miami and New York. But we're trying to figure out what kind of scam is this. It obviously has something to do with identity theft and stolen credit cards, but how is the scammer benefiting?
Anyone heard of this?

I've never heard of this scam, which Iam sure it is. Over the internet things happen quick and easy, like identity theft and various types of scams. I've always been interested in knowing how these scams work. I would love to find a way someday to scam a scammer, lol.
