What's with all the scammers

Heya everyone. Been trying to ease back into the hobby after a break in LFK and I gotta ask... What's with all the scams? With the exceptions of AMPs and Rotos (in KC), every single contact I've tried to make has been a scammer asking for Venmo/Cashapp within the first minute or so. Is this the new normal?
There seem to be some decent options that can be found through reviews if I'm willing to travel to KC or Itch but LFK itself seems to have next to nothing outside of the AMPs. Those are fine and all, and I've visited the ones that haven't shut down (so sad when the one off 31st disappeared). But looking for some independent options has been a bust. What's the deal?

It's absolutely insane, I hear so many horror stories by clients and they're so paranoid when I go to meet someone new. Years ago it didn't used to be like this it was calmer more relaxing I mean everyone just knows what to do. But now people have to hide things and stash things so people don't run in and grab it and run out.

I mean I'm glad that there are guys out there that call these girls out and girls that call out these guys because honestly the legality of this industry hangs by such a thread and the sustainability of good guys and good girls is based off of mutual respect trust and understanding....

Sorry I know run on sentences but I mean it I wish I never had to hear another horror story again I personally love this industry irregardless but some people leave it because they're scared

So apparently phase 2 of the scam, after you decline to pay booking fees on cash app, is for another number to text you claiming to be from the cartel hitman and that five guys will be dispatched to bring down hell on you and your family if you don't immediately send money to the girls. �� The sad part is that they wouldn't be running these scans unless there are enough idiots out there to make it lucrative for them.

Number thing to remember when you get a text like that, the real cartel wouldn't threaten. They just would do it.

look at the national thread of "FBI contacted me" and see how deep people will believe this crap. Same with any other region of guys biting on the scam of sending money before a meet for sugar babies or escorts. NEVER do that.

ECCIE (and probably P411 if you use it) are still the best sources of info for mongers as they can get it from other guys, and not from ads, or "reviews" from sites that aren't moderated. It's a pain sometimes, but the info is important.

Other than that...Welcome to the internet... in a day and age where a cute girl can just create an OnlyFans and hustle people out of money, you have to be scam sensitive. Even girls you've seen before, living out of hotel rooms, will eventually pull the "can't pay for my room" hustle... sometimes its true - when you sleep 14 hours a day *ahem* and spend all you just got, sometimes you "ooops" awaken to getting your door knocked on and housekeeping kicking you out... but you know.

Do not feed the scammers.

I've literally spoken to girls who talk about sitting in a room joking with their friends about how many people they have to text with a sob story before someone sends them money. The average is it takes about 10 hustle texts before you hit a pay. It's like a slot machine...and guess who's the ATM.

Again, from the big money/deposit scammers, to the can't pay room/flat tire/can't feed kids-self/need gas money/*add in rinsing request here* hustlers, they abound. STG has cleaned up many of the scammers (and notice the HUGE post falloff in the "gallery" view of posts in general) but listcrawler and the like are still mostly scammers.

I'd estimate there are about 20-25 escorts actually legit in the area at any one time (posting and active, not all). There's so much competition that the hustlers just move to the next mark, and even the experienced girls know they will keep picking up clients NO MATTER WHAT. So they pull bullshit. Even girls with ECCIE accounts have hustled clients.

Trust, but verify... or VERIFY then trust

lessons learned been there done that. Never just never give funds in advance even if it's a regular that you think is a friend. The best way to quit seeing a provider that you enjoy and care for is give her a advance. Just love the excuse I got from what I thought was a friend provider. She tells me she can't afford to do a makeup today and has to make money today,now she just ignores my texts.Oh well lessons learned and never again. Have fun out there and let the big head make the decisions lol
