Pretexts?

For those of us that have others in the household that may be concerned with our whereabouts: What are the pretexts you use to be away?

Mine are such classics as "working late" or if I'm skipping out on work for a bit "going to see a specialist" (I didn't say what kind of specialist). Weekends are trickier. Sometimes I go to a friend's to "watch the game" or I'm "going shopping" (problem with that is, you also have to actually do some shopping so as to not come home empty handed. I also really do meet up with some friends to play a video game we all like against each other. So I appear go to more of those meet ups than I really do.

Interested to hear some others' reasons. I'm looking for some new ones, because the hardest part of hobbying for me is explaining my absence.

Maintain a steady supply of Walmart bags with nonperishables at work or in your trunk… That way, every time you're absent, you will have a couple of bags to tote in.

Just make sure to dispose of the receipt, especially when it's dated several weeks prior. Lol
