Hijacking ThreADS, Losing Valuable Information, Posting In Forums You Don't Belong and Taking Things Way Too Seriously
As always... you can't hijack an SL threAD. Post at will. Oh and I don't believe in closing threADS. They should just run their course and fade into the sunset.
So let's get started... Hijacking. WTF is Hijacking? Changing the topic of a given threAD? Really? Sometimes this needs to happen. Some of you need to stop taking this so seriously and stop trying to keep "all" threADS so "ON TOPIC". Let me give you an example... If I decided to start a threAD posting my favorite "How Stupid Are ARKANSAS GUYS jokes. Would that be well received here in AR? I bet I might get blasted and those posts certainly wouldn't be on topic. So then do I run to the local MODS and cry like a baby and repeatedly hit my RTM button? Then when I have nothing to say in response do I ask to have the threAD closed?
That brings us to the next item. Take a look at some of the threAD topics. Some guy was crying that posts were causing certain "valuable" information to get lost. REALLY? The search button is your friend. There is lot more going on out there than the issues that come up in AR. So the information is there, you just need to look for it! Stop being lazy, do your research.
Posting in forums you don't belong... REALLY? Part of the learning process is get diverse opinions from a board cross section of board members. Let yourself be enlightened. If your here to only listen to what shoeless Billy Bob has to say, you have bigger problems than this board and who posts in what forum. This board and its forums belong to everyone. Even a self-proclaimed "taint" addict. He likes "taint". This is a hooker board.... who in the hell doesn't like "taint"?
Our last little item... taking things to seriously. In the scheme of things all of this crappola is just NOT important. There are so many things much more important than what some does or says on a hooker board. Most of you have families that WAY more important don't you thinck? There are rules in place so we can all have fun and we can be protected from people that have nothing better to do than shit on some else parade. Don't forget to thank your local MODS, they have a thankless job. And how about we stop judging people. We're all different here. Is it any of my business if a guy wants to knock off a quick piece of ass on the way to slaughtering the Xmas pig? (I just love honey baked ham!) NO! Why would I care?
"Feliz Navidad" stiff legs and you sexy young thangs!
So what's the matter with taint ? Thought that was why we are here ? Valuable information , I think we all learned that by 5th grade ? Put tab A into slot B and thrust , now you're informed . Oh and by the way my underwear is explosive ( at least after beans ) and this is a hijack ! Welcome to America you censorship monkeys !
Well you COULD post jokes about Arkansans being dumb,..in theory, However I believe that would, or COULD start an Onslaught of jokes about only thing that comes from TX is steers and ...you get the point, (no pun intended).
Taint is all fine and good, but I think we need to look at an underlying problem that faces millions, if not thousands of Americans every year. The consequences to this topic, I'm about to announce are outrageously understated because the statistics, and sheer lack of knowledge that the general public WILL NOT address no matter how serious the consequences are. Ladies and gentlemen, if I can have just one moment of your precious time, I would be humbled if you accept the gravity of the situation...I'd like to talk about fireworks safety.

Fireworks... thats awesome! The juices are flowing in the thinck tank now!
I have a funny TX story. Shortly after moving to AR my wife, infant son and I were driving to San Antonio and stopped to grab dinner at a Denny's along the highway. While waiting with my son in his infant carrier for the wife to exit her office ( ie restroom) a typical cocky Texan, approached and asked if my son was "Born in TX?" I replied "AR." His response was, "Ain't worth shit!" Not born in AR myself and hence not having the typical AR/TX inferiority complex, and knowing he was probably but hurt over the fact an Arky had yrecently bought his beloved Cowboys, I started chuckling as it was quite humorous and stereotypically expected. However, it turned to real comrdy when his wife kicked him (literally) and demanded he apologize, which he did with the biggest hang dog expression imaginable.
I guess the moral of the story is that we have come to expect Texans to be obstreperous and malfeasant when their wives are not here to control them. What I did not expect is for my fellow Arkansans to whine to the moderators for protection from he evil Texans, rather than standing up to them like men.
