because think about it...Russia already won the cold war and because of that the US is no longer the dominant world power. Russia has over 7,000 nuclear weapons about 3,000 more than the US. Which means selling the Uranium to them is negligible since obviously they can produce their own.
Selling to a lesser "state" actor could result in mistakes being made with the uranium ending up on the black market so yea Russia makes sense..
The bottom line is we wont let you dipshits try to use this as a distraction to Trump's treason...his ass is still going to jail.
