Check out Airbnb, I've used it all over the world and at least 4-6 times in Medellin. I have not tried recently but was looking around the region here and saw in the outlining areas and I think the supply grossly out numbers the renters still. A couple of words of advice. First consider a little negotiating on a monthly rate. For me if they do not offer at least a 20% discount I just keep looking and I'd still ask for another 10%. Then you need to decide how comfortable you are without a doorman/portiera. Some of that will be based on the area you are in and also how much difficulty and hassle you want your younger guests to go through getting into the building. Many younger girls do not have the ID required. Asking the girls in advance will avoid disappointment if there is a doorman. I personally have no problem renting an apartment without one. PS- it is always good to check which floor and if there is an elevator. Enjoy
