In some ways it's like being seasick. Most will try to keep from throwing up as it is seen as a weakness by the uninformed. More experienced hands know that you usually throw once, maybe twice, and then you can move on. For all of its faults, the democrat party used to represent a large section of people who loved their country even if certain people didn't feel the love. Before the party gets better it will have to dispel this malignancy before the disease becomes the party. It is close now. I would say that the democrat party is in stage 3 with most of the corruption in Washington and a few major cities. I think locally the disease is no worse than it has always been. It will make the host sick but not necessarily kill the host.
then the question is what do they love about America?
not its constitution, with the separation of powers and protections for small states and the minority, the senate and the electoral college, freedom of speech etc
do they love just the land, the scenic views and only some people, to maintain their scenic views?
maybe its the wealth they can exploit for a time that they love
when you totally wish to remake something, what is it that you already love?
then the question is what do they love about America?
