In an increasingly hollowed-out economy, most of us are working cheaper and cheaper (at least, in constant-dollar terms). Really, I just had a good chuckle over that breathless "$1000 a night call girl" stuff. Some ignoramus with a keyboard obviously thought that was impossibly high-end stuff. In fact, I've seen that rate, and even a tiny bit lower, offered by ladies who appeared substantial and reputable. I have done several over nights for $800 ... Not impossible ... But then again my strategy isn't to get naked and fuck for 8 hours straight. We have sex ... Then we eat dinner then we might watch a movie that we both would like to see or we could go out dancing or drinking if she likes maybe a little post movie session or post drinks session then we actually sleep and a nice little bang session in the morning and she is gone. I think this proves that Republicans play dirty... even with each other. Seemingly the same person(s) who are responsible for "advocating" for Cruz by way of sensationalizing a semi-nude photo of Melania Trump are also implicated in outing two of the women Cruz allegedly had affairs with.

Something else this proves is some of y'all who cry broke are are lying. I understand being a member of the U.S. Senate isn't all about the money (or at least it's not supposed to be). But with all the unscrupulous dealings that the public is only minimally aware of, I refuse to believe Cruz didn't have the ability to compensate a sex worker more for her time.

As for rates, there are so many factors at play. There are sex workers, at least in larger cities on the East and West Coasts as well as perhaps Chicago, who charge 1k for a couple or few hours and are seemingly doing just fine.

Anyhoo, since ethics have absolutely no bearing on who is deemed adequate to lead masses of people, Marco Rubio would have been my pick from the Republican pot because he is the sexiest...

I have no idea why they spend so much time, effort, and money digging up what they think we all believe is unacceptable behavior, rather than the norm for these yahoos. Seems to me, the money, time, and effort could be spent on something more meaningful and helpful to the people of the United States.

I totally agree. I hope to live to see the day where our leaders are honest about the fact that their lives also reflect those of regular everyday people—blended families, non-monogamy, and *gasp* even hiring sex workers.

Consensual sexual actions that transpire between two or more grown ass people don't inherently affect people's decision making skills or leadership capabilities. In fact, if folks where less repressed and closeted, humanity would be so much better off.
