Default RUN Hillary, RUN!!!!!

Republicans Fear Clinton in 2016

By Zeke J Miller

HOLLYWOOD — Republican leaders plotted their party’s political comeback on Thursday with plans to court minority voters and modernize their political operations. But some wondered if one person could make it all for naught: Hillary Clinton.

As attendees of the Republican National Committee’s spring meeting debated party rules and a refurbished GOP brand capable of winning back the White House, more than two dozen operatives and officials expressed worry that none of their party’s potential 2016 candidates can take her down.

One early primary state RNC member put it simply: “If she gets in, we’re toast.”

To be sure, Clinton enjoyed a similar sense of inevitability in 2005, but Republicans say she looks more formidable this time around. “We thought we could beat her [in 2008] because she was seen as bitter and unlikeable — and that’s what Obama proved,” said one Republican operative at the meeting. But Clinton finished her tenure as Secretary of State with stratospheric approval ratings, has added four years of Cabinet-level foreign policy making to her resume, and appears far less likely to face a strong 2016 primary challenge like the one Obama mounted in 2007 and 2008.

“We’re hoping she doesn’t run, because if she does, she’ll win,” said the same operative.

The Clinton fears have Republicans gearing up early for the 2016 campaign. America Rising, the new GOP super PAC founded by former RNC and Romney aides, has already begun digging up opposition research on Clinton, along with other potential Democratic candidates.

Overhearing discussions about Clinton in the hallway outside the RNC meeting, Jorge Landivar, a Ron Paul-backing delegate to the 2012 Republican convention from Texas, chimed in: “All the polls say she will destroy anyone that we put up — it’s [f---ng] terrifying.” National polling from Quinnipiac University finds that Clinton, the most popular national political figure, would defeat New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie 45 – 37 percent; Florida Sen. Marco Rubio 50 – 34 percent and Rep. Paul Ryan 50 – 38 percent.

Ron Kaufman, the RNC committeeman from Massachusetts and a senior Romney campaign advisor, acknowledged that Clinton looks as powerful as a sitting president. But he cautioned Republicans to remember how quickly the political winds can shift.

“Right now she is the closest thing you’ll get to an incumbent in an open race,” said Kaufman, who served as George H. W. Bush’s White House political director. “But at this time in the cycle, Bush 41 was unbeatable.”

Indeed, Republicans here took some hope in Clinton’s stunning 2008 collapse, when her political machine seemed to fall apart under the pressure of Obama’s challenge.

Some suggested she was ill-served by top advisors whom they hope will return to her side with unintended results. “I hope she picks Mark Penn”–her longtime pollster and close advisor–”to run her campaign again,” said one swing-state state chair who was loath to share his defeatist attitude publicly. “Because even some Republicans will give her a second chance.”

On the record, Republican leaders are more on message. Rhode Island committeeman Steve Frias argued Clinton will be battling strong political headwinds. “It’s rare to have one party in power for 12 years,” he said. “There are a lot of people who will be tired of Obama.”

But the perception of Clinton as more moderate than Obama is another component of the GOP’s Hillary fear, especially as the party struggles to boost its appeal to liberal-minded minorities and young voters. One state chair described the GOP’s annual meeting as less about winning and more about fighting to remain a credible alternative to the Democratic Party. “We can’t even think about winning until we stop losing voters every cycle,” he said.

And one former Romney aide here warned that grassroots activists pushing for an even more conservative GOP identity could seal the party’s fate: “If we listen to some of the people here and come back with a hardline conservative in 2016, she’ll wipe the floor with us.”

Hillary has been beaten once and IF she gets into it, she will be beaten again. She made some serious mistakes in 2008. She thought she was annointed but she did not understand how many in the democratic party didn't like her. Many of them still don't like her. The GOP will be motivated to turn out but many democrats will be suffering from liberal fatigue. The only thing they can really count on is the novelty factor again. We see how well that turned out with Obama. Maybe next time they will find someone qualified, someone who has lead (and not followed), someone who does not have to answer for the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi by neglect while spending millions on hybrid cars for state department offices in Europe.

I don't fear Hillary but I will be wary of her machine. She still comes across as shrill and not very personable.

Hillary will run, and win, in 2016. It will mark the end of the great American experiment of self government, based on law and respect for individual rights and freedom. There will be no recovery after that.

So BiSex, Assup, your dream of a police state will come true.

It is not often that I do this but I am going to agree with the StupidestOldLyingFart on this board. He is correct in saying that if Hillary decides to run in 2016, she will win.

As for JD's analysis that there are many Democrats who still "don't like her." That is nothing more than wishful thinking on JD's part. I, for one, did not support her candidacy in 2008 but she has shown me and many like me, that she will become an excellent POTUS in 2016.

RUN Hillary, RUN!

Ahhh, it did not take long for the StupidestOldLyingFart on this board to resort back to his boring, childish banter. Police State? Give me a friggin' break! He throws out words and phrases like "police state" expecting the uneducated and/or the gullible to believe his idiotic bullshit.

Speaking of which, if I could use a single word to best describe SOLF, it would be
"idiot!" And it is time for our 'numero uno' "idiot" to get back into the corner he has repeatedly painted himself into.

Hillary Clinton is most definitely qualified, more so than when Obama first took office, and I don't see how the Benghazi attack can be held against her. Where was the Republican ire when embassies were attacked under Bush's watch?

Lets see....assisted on the Watergate panel where they decided that lying to the American people was an impeachable offense, first lady of Arkansas, partner in the Rose Law firm where she worked as a rain maker, turned $1,000 into $100,000 in cattle futures (an impossible task), swindled...my apologies, sold vacation homes to the elderly and retired at White Water, first lady of the United States, fired the White House travel staff a non partisan office to replace them with her personal cronies the Thomasons, chose Janet Reno to run Justice and burn up a bunch of children in Waco, Tx, possessor of over 900 raw FBI files (with the help of former bar bouncer and fall guy Craig Livingstone) of political enemies and allies (a federal offense), accuser of the GOP of being part of a vast right wing conspiracy when they wanted to impeach her husband of lying to the American people (which she said was an impeachable offense in 1975), forgot to mention the leader of the bimbo eruption squad, US senator from New York after she had to move to New York to be eligible, voted for the war with Afghanistan, voted for military action against Iraq, warned against Iraq's WMDs, dodged sniper fire in where ever she claimed to have dodged non-existent sniper fire (Sinbad doesn't remember any sniper fire and we have the video to back up his story), got royally screwed by the democratic party (and don't think she doesn't hold grudges) over Obama, nominated secretary of state where she flew millions of miles but failed to get peace in the middle east, the status of forces agreement in Iraq, honest government in Afghanistan, the nukes out of North Korea, the right word in Russia, or the Spice Girls to make a US tour for Big O, while spending millions on green technology for the state department failed to adequately protect our ambassador in Benghazi (what was he doing in Benghazi on 9/11 anyway?), didn't keep Ghaddaffi from being butchered, didn't protect ABC reporters in Egypt, sold F-16s to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, called Assad of Syria our good friend and a reformer.....

ooh yessss, she is so qualified but you are right about one thing...she is more qualified that Obama is but then again so am I and COG, and some people on this site. Would you have had a major blow out of a party while the country is going through hard times because of your policies (sequester)?

I recognize you Hilliary supporters may well be correct. The Clinton machine is incredibly strong and she will have the blanket support of most women.

On the other hand, there are very scary historical facts. I am placing a ditty I have copied (not my work), author unknown.

Old Dingus

"
I have always read Bill was a womanizing, good ole boy, idiot. But Hillary on the other hand, she was shrewd, hateful and deadly if need be. Read the following and draw your own conclusions.

Some of these I remember from 'those days'....How quickly we forget...
THE CLINTON BODY BAGS

Food for Thought

Just a quick refresher course lest we forget what has happened to many "friends" of the
Clintons.

1- James McDougal - Clintons convicted Whitewater partner died of an apparent heart attack, while in solitary confinement. He was a key witness in Ken Starr's investigation.

2 - Mary Mahoney - A former White House intern was murdered July 1997 at a Starbucks Coffee Shop in Georgetown .. The murder happened just after she was to go public with her story of sexual harassment in the White House.

3 - Vince Foster - Former White House councilor, and colleague of Hillary Clinton at Little Rock's Rose Law firm. Died of a gunshot wound to the head, ruled a suicide.

4 - Ron Brown - Secretary of Commerce and former DNC Chairman. Reported to have died by impact in a plane crash. A pathologist close to the investigation reported that there was a hole in the top of Brown's skull resembling a gunshot wound. At the time of his death Brown was being investigated, and spoke publicly of his willingness to cut a deal with prosecutors. The rest of the people on the plane also died. A few days later the air Traffic controller commited suicide.

5 - C. Victor Raiser, II - Raiser, a major player in the Clinton fund raising organization died in a private plane crash in July 1992.

6 - Paul Tulley - Democratic National Committee Political Director found dead in a hotel room in Little Rock , September 1992. Described by Clinton as a "dear friend and trusted advisor".

7 - Ed Willey - Clinton fundraiser, found dead November 1993 deep in the woods in VA of a gunshot wound to the head. Ruled a suicide. Ed Willey died on the same day his wife Kathleen Willey claimed Bill Clinton groped her in the oval office in the White House. Ed Willey was involved in several Clinton fund raising events.

8 - Jerry Parks - Head of Clinton's gubernatorial security team in Little Rock .. Gunned down in his car at a deserted intersection outside Little Rock Park's son said his father was building a dossier on Clinton He allegedly threatened to reveal this information. After he died the files were mysteriously removed from his house.

9 - James Bunch - Died from a gunshot suicide. It was reported that he had a "Black Book" of people which contained names of influential people who visited prostitutes in Texas and Arkansas

10 - James Wilson - Was found dead in May 1993 from an apparent hanging suicide. He was reported to have ties to Whitewater..

11 - Kathy Ferguson - Ex-wife of Arkansas Trooper Danny Ferguson, was found dead in May 1994, in her living room with a gunshot to her head. It was ruled a suicide even though there were several packed suitcases, as if she were going somewhere. Danny Ferguson was a co-defendant along with Bill Clinton in the Paula Jones lawsuit Kathy Ferguson was a possible corroborating witness for Paula Jones.

12 - Bill Shelton - Arkansas State Trooper and fiancee of Kathy Ferguson. Critical of the suicide ruling of his fiancee, he was found dead in June, 1994 of a gunshot wound also ruled a suicide at the grave site of his fiancee.

The Clinton's are only really good at damage control after
one of their screw ups, that's why Hillary bailed after the
Benghazi train wreck, best move if she still wants to run for pres.

(They seem to have more lives than a herd of feral cats)

That and pulling the wool over the public's eyes, but hey you
can fool most of the people some of the time.

My bet is that the public will by that time finally be tired of these
ass hat clowns like Bush, Obama, and the Clinton's and finally
be ready for someone who is more of a statesman and less
of a circus side show, if anyone can find one to run, but I could
be wrong.

I think Hillary's biggest fear is Barack Obama. Consider if one of these foriegn policy debacles blows up. Is Barry the kind of guy to say that it was his fault or is he going to look for the closest scapegoat? He can't blame Kerry because that comes back on him and he can't blame Condi because that chestnut has hair. He can only blame Hillary for a foriegn policy fuckup. It is going to be three long years for her.
