I've been on the site for a while. Only now to find out when I need it the most. You cannot change your username. Delete your account. Or contact anyone on the site who knows how to do it. Warning to all. If someone knows your username and googles it all your reviews become accessible. I would love for someone to educate me on how to delete old reviews, change user name. Or any of the above.

Not true. I changed my username here, so that it would be the same as on other various sites. Mods are easy to work with.

A simple search for "change username" shows that this is a common request. Also, to be fair, when you sign up here, I believe they warn you to not use the same username that you use on other forums that would identify you here.

I don't see what the big deal is. It's just a user name, not your real name. Unless you've acquired a bad reputation under your existing user name I see no reason to change. The few that do get a bad rep and change their user name are usually linked back to their former user name anyway.

There is a valid point there, but sites are highly regionalized with very little crossover by users. I think someone would have to work really hard to cross reference a common username. Then there's no guarantee it's the same person and in no way indicates your real world identity

um, beg to differ, but if a user name is present on any public website then it is very easy archived by google and many other search bots and when googled it is easily found.

Anyone who registers here or on any other "sexy" website using user name A### (and for that matter, potentially an email address) on other-than-sexy websites is asking for trouble in google or other common search engines.

And changing a user name here, for example, usually will have little effect on what search engines have already archived. Especially if the searcher is experienced in using search tool.

The same caution extends to using duplicate passwords across multiple sites!
