I saw a guy working on it yesterday,but told me that alot of there equipment need power as well to function. That the reason why alot of there service are down. An dont have enough generators to put out.

xfinity comcast is a monopoly. Maybe that helps to explain why their customer service department seems to be non existent

I got rid of my cable after 20 years with TrashCast, they keep raising their prices. I didn't want to at first but after going to a friends house with unlimited cable, movies, new movies, hbo, showtime, sports, porn for only $50 per month a said good bye to comcast/xfinity/. All you have to do is order a fire stick and get "cut the cord" cable service.

5G will continue to change the cable industry. 2 years ago i cancelled direct tv. In January of this year i cancelled internet access. Even now with 4G on my android smart phone I can stream a movie thru Netflix onto my television.

All I need to do is turn on my hotspot on my phone. It won't be much longer and your cell phone bill and content will be the only items you pay for.

That's why these cable companies like Comcast are trying to milk us as hard as they can before we cut them off.

To shift the conversation, since I am the OP.......what are the chances of making money with Viacom and Discovery ? Both down over 50% since the end of March.

VM, I don't have an answer to your last post, yet I am sure it would make an enlightening analysis for any ROI. If you decide to do that, I am interested in your results.

As far as Comcrap, I have it strictly for business purposes for Internet access, no cable, and can not recommend it to anyone. It constantly has connection issues over multiple systems even wtih Comcrap Business class.

Att stock pays a very good dividend today.but so did GM in 2007 before the great recession. In 2008 we learned how strong GM was when the federal government took them over, bailed them out, and wiped out all the shareholders.

You might make some $$ by purchasing those stocks, but i would put a stop loss if I purchased so I at least earned some $$
