So where's the consistency enforcing guideline 30?

How come the mods selectively enforce guideline 30? Why would mods post in a thread that goes 130 replies, then they decide it's against the guideline? Why would a thread with absolutely no affiliation with the host of a function be closed for guideline 30, when that is not a part of the guideline? Why would same thread in other forums be allowed? Could it be due to their affiliation with a function they choose to allow or sticky?

I made a mistake in how I worded something in the threads I started and they were locked. I have corrected what I posted and restarted the thread.

I also RTMd the three and asked that they be removed. It's the weekend, Mods have lives and I think come Monday things will clear up.

The message regarding the fundraiser is something that the Mod that locked it did not want to see lost and it was a fast fix at the time.

I think what gets stickies and what does not is subjective.

Knowing the Mods here in Austin, they tend to leave a lot alone as compared to Mods in other areas. I think we all should be thankful for that.

Some simply like having the power and exerting it at every opportunity. For an interesting read on the Mods spend a little time reading Post History for each Mod in San Antonio, Houston and here in Austin. A couple will really stand out.

One is incredibly controlling and goes as far as determining what constitutes pornography and what does not allowing threads from ladies with pictures and editing out pictures posted by guys. Standards of acceptability in his area are far different then others.

Rule 30 is pretty clearly stated. I'll get what I need said and stay on the right side of it I think.

Lot's of haters out there stirring the pot.

A word of advice though..... Even THIS thread, your complaining..... will bring more scrutiny and not less......

I don't care to get involved in this kind of stuff,(so why am I?) but as an example of differing attitudes and enforcement of mods, I posted in West Texas asking about a certain provider I planned to visit when I got there the next week. I received a PM from a mod asking why I was posting that in W.T. when I lived in Austin. Perhaps he was trying to protect the ladies in his area. Maybe, who knows.

If you read through the San Antonio Coed section there are a number of threads running in regards to the up coming Halloween party being held down there,

There has been a lot of crap stirred up lately because of selective enforcement and Mokoa seems to be letting a lot of shit slide in San Antonio from what I've been reading in the last couple of hours..... Maybe he is too busy reorganizing the forums... moving things from one place to another.........or censoring threads.. He seems to decide what is and is not pornography......

Here in Austin they seem to be cracking down on it.

But it was not just you. I had two threads locked that have always ran in the past. So I see nothing selective here in Austin. Take your examples to the Admins and Owners in the national forums.

IMO their is a lot of whining going on behind the scenes by someone that is causing all of it....

What their problems are? I am not sure,

But rules are rules.....

Personally I like seeing where Mokoa showing his buddy favoritism in his home town while it gets cracked down on in other cities....

In the long run it simply leads to his losing credibility with his peers.
