Thumbs down Don't waste your time or money....

Batman v Superman

I'm not one to usually tell people to avoid movies but this one was horrible. Costumes were not what we are used to seeing.
Characters were not the same that we grew up with.
And completely unrealistic.

I don't normally say anything about movies, but this was one of the worst I've seen in a long time. Even my daughter agrees with me.
Most of the time movies are based on your own personal tastes and where one person may love it another may hate it. But when it's supposed to be characters we grew up on and know pretty well, they need to try to keep them true to form. Not completely out of character.

He was Batman, and from what I read he actually did a good job. It's the rest of the movie some people seem to not like.

Woops, I meant Batman. One of my friends liked it. I'm still going to give it a chance.

It's the liberal left invading our heroes. Can't kill anyone anymore. You have to capture and jail them. Thank (the gods) for The Vikings. Brutal, but more realistic than the impossible twisted plots they're pedaling now.

Superman and Batman are known for not killing people. They always have been.

If you want to see brutality and deaths, watch the new season of Daredevil on Netflix. Punisher is in it. Plenty of killing.

Saw the movie earlier today. I enjoyed it.

Afleck did Batman/Bruce Wayne quite well. Not quite equal with Christian Bale but not far off either. This is going to be an interesting series of movies. We shall see.

We all know Superman and Batman don't kill people but my understanding is that in the film they do. Also, the costumes are a bit more than used to seeing. Superman is a bit more dark. I'm still going to see it though.

Tammy, thanks for letting us know that it was completely unrealistic. I don't like sci-fi movies like that.

I thought it was OK and worth watching if for nothing else but the Easter eggs regarding future films.

That said, it was very slow and had some plot lines that seemed out of place. Overall I guess I likes it but not something I will watch a second time. I walked out underwhelmed and felling like it just did not deliver on the greatness that could have been. Ben Afleck did a fine job as Bruce\Batman I feel the writing and directing failed this movie most of all not the acting.

I used to create comic book stuff. To me it was the choices they made and the storyline.

Ben Affleck did a fine job as Batman, but the problem lies on how they made Superman very unrealistic. He is not Christopher Reeves or Brandon Routh, but he is Henry Cavill. His version seems too violent and just plain meh. Doesn't fit the standards of a Superman to me. Just punch drunk type that just no morals and such.

I am fine with Wonder Woman and how her outfit is, but honestly Aquaman could of been played by a Greek European blonde male instead of a Maori or the infamous Samoans with no personality like Roman Reigns is. I think making Aquaman look too radical made me not like him or even to be fair, Samoans are usually not that good when it comes to portraying a personality. They try to act too cool for school.

The selection of Lex Luthor is not good as Superman Returns Kevin Spacey. I felt that the 31 year old look too baby face for his age and fit more the Joker. For Luthor, I would of picked a 35-45 year old actor. Jared Leto's Joker sucks ass hairs and goat balls. I would of got the guy who played the Luthor in this movie play the Joker.

I like the T.V. Flash and Arrow better than what the movie offered for the Flash. I do not like Cyborg at all. He reminds me of when they needed affirmative action characters like people always think that John Stewart was always Green Lantern because he is Black. But the Golden Age and Hal Jordan were the original and White male Green Lanterns. Plus there are different members of the corps and different ring colors. So, yeah. Cyborg and his ghetto talk or whatever doesn't fit him being half machine since almost 65% of his brain is computerized thanks to his dad. But, I never liked him.

The plot sucks because I seems like they merged Frank Miller's Batman: The Dark Knight Returns (1986) mixed with The Death of Superman (late 1992) and Funeral for a Friend (early 1993). I think putting those two plots together did not make the movie as original as Marvel films The Avengers (2012) and the second Avengers movie which worked.

Plus when you look at it, not many movies are satisfying these days. Seems DC comics can't do what Marvel can do.
