Default Elizabeth Holmes

Denied a new trial. Headed for the slammer. Meanwhile she still gets to live in her $ 135 million dollar mansion (paid for by investors she swindled and conned)

uh .. no. Holmes doesn't own any mansion, let alone a 135 million dollar estate. she stayed at a rented house (not the main mansion) at an estate named Green Gables.

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/09/07/eliz...nos-trial.html

  • Former Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes has been living in one of the homes on the storied Green Gables estate.
  • The 74-acre, century-old property in Woodside, California, is currently listed for sale for $135 million.

WOODSIDE, Calif. -- On the same day that former Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes was granted a delay in her criminal fraud trial due to a pregnancy, her partner was issued a traffic citation.

William “Billy” Evans received a citation on March 17 for “failure to display license plate,” according to San Mateo County, California, court records.

The citation revealed a new address for the couple: a home on the ultra-lush grounds of Green Gables, one of America’s most expensive estates.

CNBC has independently confirmed that Holmes and Evans are currently staying in one of the homes that dot the 74-acre property. The storied estate, which is currently listed for sale for $135 million, is nestled in Woodside, one of the wealthiest towns in Silicon Valley. Opening statements in her trial begin this week.

this bitch did of course co-own a mansion with her ex and co-conspirator Ramesh “Sunny” Balwani. after Balwani and Holmes separated Balwani became the sole owner and sold it earlier this year for a cool 9 million.

https://www.realtor.com/news/celebri...sunny-balwani/

Holmes has no net worth according to financial sources as the bulk of it was in the stock for Theranos which is now worthless of course. that's not to say she didn't sell off some of the stock while it still had high value.

https://stylecaster.com/elizabeth-holmes-net-worth/

What is Elizabeth Holmes’ net worth?

So, what is Elizabeth Holmes’ net worth today? After the fall of Theranos, Elizabeth Holmes’ net worth went from a reported $4.5 billion to $0 as of 2022, according to Forbes. The former company’s founder and CEO was also charged with fraud by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), alongside former company president Ramesh “Sunny” Balwani in 2018. That same year, the United States Attorney for the Northern District of California announced the indictment of Holmes and Balwani on wire fraud and conspiracy charges.

Holmes’ trial was originally scheduled to begin in August 2020, but was delayed following her pregnancy. Her trial began a year later in August 2021. On January 3, 2022, Holmes was found guilty of three counts of wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. Each count carries a maximum sentence of 20 years and a $250,000 fine, meaning Holmes faces up to 80 years behind bars and a $1 million fine. As of March 2022, Holmes is out on bail awaiting sentencing in September 2022.

i think it's near certain she cashed out a lot of stock and could have millions. in many cases executives are required to sell off stock options given as part of their compensation.

from the beginning experts told her you can't do extensive and wide ranging blood tests on a single drop of blood. maybe Dr. McCoy can with his medical tricorder on Star Trek but it's way beyond any current medical tech today.

i think this woman at first really believed it could be done but over time was told by experts inside her own company that the device simply didn't work. to cover their asses with their Walgreens deal, they were testing blood using conventional equipment and couldn't even do that right.

so unless this bitch is delusional and she probably is but that's not a defense she knowingly misrepresented the technology she claimed to have developed. the jury correctly convicted her on most of the counts but not all of them. regardless she's almost certain to do several years at least in prison.

the cunt has some brass nipples it seems. she reportedly asked the judge to give her 18 months home confinement.

https://nypost.com/2022/11/11/theran...e-confinement/

bahahhahhaaaaa

Nope. no judge is buying into that considering each of the 4 counts she was convicted of has a max of 20 years. they'll be served concurrently as is the legal norm most of the time. even still, this woman knowingly put people's health at risk with false test results that failed to detect the medical conditions that standard blood testing would uncover. recall that at one point the company was using standard equipment to test and couldn't even do that right.

i'll speculate she'll get 7 years for each, served concurrently. she'll probably only do 5 of that.

and even if she didn't cash out a large amount of her stock the dude she married comes from a wealthy family

Evans comes from the wealthy family behind the Evans Hotel Group in 1953, and has previously worked for LinkedIn and self-driving car company Luminar Technologies

well. the prosecution is going big on this. they are pushing for a 15 year sentence. so much for my prediction of 7 years but it ain't over yet, the judge is the ultimate decider. perhaps the prosecution is going heavy figuring the judge might give her less but still get a hefty sentence.

the max is 20 so by pushing for 15 they are going for 75% of the max. whatever sentence the judge decides on (and no way in Hell she doesn't get prison time and no chance is home confinement) it'll be concurrent on the counts.

I'd be happy seeing her locked up for 5 years of a 7-year sentence. I hope she uses her weirdo voice when serving peas and mashed potatoes in the prison chow line.

Ha! this bitch got over 11 years! i went light on her speculating 7 years. good for this judge. can't wait to see this bitch cry her little tears over this and saying "but but .. i'm preggo!" bahhaaa i bet that was a ploy to get a lighter sentence or even home confinement which her lawyers asked for.

should note the prosecution wanted 15 years, 75% of the 20 year max for each conviction. justice served sweetpea!

Holmes gets more than 11 years in prison for Theranos scam

https://www.yahoo.com/news/elizabeth...073657829.html

A federal judge on Friday sentenced disgraced Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes to more than 11 years in prison for duping investors in the failed startup that promised to revolutionize blood testing but instead made her a symbol of Silicon Valley’s culture of audacious self-promotion.

The sentence imposed by U.S. District Judge Edward Davila was shorter than the 15-year penalty requested by federal prosecutors but far tougher than the leniency her legal team sought for the mother of a year-old son with another child on the way.

Holmes, who was CEO throughout the company’s turbulent 15-year history, was convicted in January in the scheme, which revolved around the company’s claims to have developed a medical device that could detect a multitude of diseases and conditions from a few drops of blood. But the technology never worked.

Theranos was dashed “by misrepresentations, hubris and just plain lies," the judge said.

Lizzie Holmes, coming to a Club Fed near you! yep, the judge recommended she do her time at Federal Prison Camp, Bryan, in Texas.

bahahahahhaaaaa

she'll do a minimum of 9 and a half years.

On November 18, 2022, U.S. District Judge Edward Davila sentenced Holmes to 11+1⁄4 years (135 months) in prison, and ordered her to surrender by April 27, 2023. The sentence included a fine of $400, or $100 for each count of fraud, and a three-year supervised release after the prison term.[1] She could get about a 15% reduction on prison time with good behavior, which would put her sentence at 9+1⁄2 years with no possibility for parole. Davila recommended she be incarcerated at Federal Prison Camp, Bryan, in Texas, a minimum security facility with limited or no perimeter fencing. "No one wants to get kicked out because compared to other places in the prison system, this place is heaven. If you have to go it's a good place to go," said a criminal defense lawyer.[87]

think they'll let her work in the prison medical dispensary?
