That's not nice but I am trippin'. I have got to vent. I just got the MOST degrading text message. Where is Chipper? I need you to call me and I'm about to cry my eyes out. There will be alot of typos here I'm sure but here goes.
I was talking to this guy and NO, I don't save numbers. Most of my "friends" ae married and have families. So, no, I don't save numbers due to this reason. So I don't know who "this is". I sometimes don't have time for phone games. Normally, I'm a sweetheart guess too much of one on the phone because when I get serious on the phone some, at least him, spaz out. Maybe I should be meaner. BUT I DO NOT HAVE A PIMP. I am so upset over this. He tried playing phone games with the, "aww you dunno who this is?" blah blahblah. "You don't save numbers?" blah blah blah. "I just talked to you" blah blah blah .
then he sent me a text which read, " u go home. u must be with ur pimp".
All this because I wouldn't play the phone games with him???
Why couldn't he just tell me who he was? Damn. From wat I'm told, I'm nicer than most on the phone as far as putting up w/ the b.s. goes. I don't understand why this could happen. Are you that sensative mister? Is it me? But I don't have a f*&**ing pimp I know this for sure. I am so freakin pissed. And hurt. I don't get it. Maybe I'm just too emoltional. So you outed a guy's number because he inferred, to you and you only, that you have a pimp?

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see how some guy you don't know being rude in a text message is such a big deal. I assume that you ladies deal with shit like that on a regular basis and just shrug it off as part of the job. From what I can tell, he didn't threaten you, didn't tell you he was going to ruin your business, didn't harass you for a prolonged period of time, etc.

I think maybe you should have a drink, relax, and not worry so much about an anonymous stranger sending you a rude text. If that's the biggest bs you have to put up with, sweetheart, you're doing pretty good.

i agree with TheBizz on this one... relax its nothing to panic about... that is something you will deal with in this business... If i freaked out every time I had a rude text from some fuckwad my post count would be high as hell..

You can spell my number out, cut it out of newsprint and take a picture, or use hieroglyphics, I still wouldn't want it posted on an escort board.

And I am by no means defending the guy, he sounds like an asshole. However, I don't think his behavior quite warrants her reaction, neither her getting so worked up or his number getting posted.

Either way, this is why I don't post alerts in the Coed forums unless the person is an absolute threat and has the potential or does cause harm.

Out of curiosity, is it ok to post a guy's number on the board for any reason, much less a mean text message? I wa under the impression that posting peoples' private info was kind of a big deal, but I've been wrong before, a couple times even.

This is another argument for providers not posting their phone number on the internet and for guys sending rude texts to do so from a hobby phone.

It is not ok, that is why it has been edited....JamieJo please do not post a persons full phone number you may place asterix in the place of every other number...

jamie jo, i'm sorry some asshole decided to get his jollies off by sending you way less than respectful and polite messages.

i hope that your sunday is going better and that things have cooled down for you.

but, i'm w/ jules on this one.
the asshole may have sent them, but that does not mean that you have to panic or freak out.
each of us chooses how to react to actions of other, be the action is good or not so good.
my suggestion - the next time some asshold starts sending messages like that, just delete them! dont even read them. i imagine that part of his jollies are that you are responding to him.

now, if the messages are threatening in any way, shape or form [violence, outing, blackmailing, etc], then do post about it - in the women's only forum and/or the alert forum.

breath in, breath out, breath in, breath out.
reading crappy messages and freaking out over them is NOT what it's all about.

Now that I've re-read the original post by jamiejo, I realize what was spelled out.

I've spent the most part of the weekend having to proofread and edit both of my younger cousin's summer school term papers. He failed one of his last classes and had to take make-up courses for the missing credits to graduate.

Due to many hours of staring at someone else's haphazard work, I missed what the letters in the phone number eluded to. So please excuse me, I wasn't discounting what anyone had to say.

Definitely yes, she was wrong to post it at all, especially without using astericks vs spelling the numbers.
