Check out this letter from Senator Josh Hawley to DHS Secretary and USSS Director
They along with Biden tried to assassinate President Trump after all their (Democrats, Clinton, Biden, FBI, NY, Georgia, the Left Newsmedia) attempts to put him away for past almost 10 years have failed

Dumb ass hawley can wait for the full investigation. A major candidate gets USSS protection, but it isn't protection like a sitting president gets. Listening to whistle blowers just adds FUD to the situation. This letter is an attempt to shift blame to the Dems, for a Republican shooter. Lots of questions to be answered for sure, but it's gonna be a year or more for a full investigation.
Hawley is speaking for about 30% of the Republican magat base. Their cult leader got a bug bite on his ear, boo hoo hoo.

Mistakes were made. Probably by a number of people from top to bottom. If we want to keep this from happening again we’ll need to have a real investigation by experts of every stripe that can examine the situation completely, make recommendations for improvement and then and only then start to assign blame.
If the people involved feel that they are being targeted for blame then you don’t get the cooperation you need, you incentive them to provide a narrative that passes the buck rather than the introspection needed to find and consequently fix the mistakes.
I have serious doubts that Jose Hawley is the right man for the job.

It has been said in past discussions that if someone is really determined to kill a President, it is very difficult to stop.
But in this case, knowing everything that has come out, this could have been stopped rather easily.
I blame it on no more than miss communications and complacency.

LOL, when it is so obvious that huge mistakes were made you don't need to wait for all the exact details. The Social Security Chief's own words about the slope of the roof the shooter was on was too steep to secure safely is enough to know she is totally clueless and should be fired.

Your pardon, You mean 'Secret Service Chief', not Social Security.
However, I totally agree with your conclusion.

Hawley is an idiot.
He's asking questions that will compromise security planning.

... His questions will compromise security planning??
Now that's a royal joke... ... WHAT type and manner
of "security planning" was there in Butler, PA??
Let the joey do a good walkabout, climb a roof, and then
shoot a former US President??
And NOW you're fraught with worry that Hawley's questions
might somehow jeopardise things?? ...

This is a standard problem with security. Public forum questions about how does it suck and how are you going to fix it? Road map for the bad guys...
I am a firm believer that security procedures should constantly change so the bad guys cannot watch what is being done and figure out an end run. A supposedly elite agency should be the best place to do this because changing procedures all the time can lead to trouble if the talent you have available cannot keep up with things.
This is why we get such things as "Change your password", "Do not take your wealthy self to and from work exactly the same way every time.", and "Call a screen pass once in while."
Now firing the folks who messed up... do it. Jill's favorite SS agent should be the first to go.
