No public transportation to Arlington?!?!
I just found this out yesterday.. I was so excited to move to Dallas because of the DART... I don't drive, I'm just not good at it. I turn up the volume and the steering wheel goes right with the volume button.
I never got in to smoking cigarettes due to thinking I would burn myself..
Anyway, this is a big problem for me...
1) I love 6 flags
2) Redskins vs Cowboys Dec 28th
Does Dallas really want me on the roads??!! If I have to start driving again, I will!!!!
Anyway, who has the power to say no to this?
The way people work.. They will buy a sporting ticket even if they can't afford rent. A lot of these people do not have a car. I'm sure this has something to do with wanting the parking revenue.. But really.. If there was public transportation access to the stadiums.. Surely on slow Rangers days they could sell cheap tickets to fill up the seats and they will buy beer and then .. Well, what am I missing????

Arlington is the largest city in the US without public transportation.

Adonis, are you on the Arlington city council?
Let's make a barter - I'll give you some bbbjs on the house if you can get some public transport going on out there! You guys don't need to help ghetto it up, just a nice little light rail that goes to the stadiums and 6 flags from downtown...

Adonis isn't it customary to receive a product sample before the city makes a binding decision?

Diddle man - you own a bus company? Offering a bus to do some trial runs where the metro would go? That's so kind of you, thanks!! I'm loving my Dallas hospitality so far....

Adonis, being an elected official, is not allowed to directly receive contributions and favors. I am his liaison and all those must be given to me so there is no appearance of improprieties....

Hey Babe,
Again, welcome to Dallas. No car in this city is a hardship but you can overcome it. When you want to hit Arlington or wherever, go to the ISO and/or CO-ED thread and tell the guys what you need. So far I have had a lunch date with a seriously beautiful lady in Oak Cliff. A few weeks ago I took a lady to Lone Star Park for racing and a concert. She had posted a request looking for someone to take her. I have given ladies rides to their day jobs. I would say that 99.99% of the guys you will meet are the nicest, friendliest, most helpful ppl around.
All you have to do is ask. Bet you will be pleasantly surprised.
To the guys...I hope you all can extend a Texas sized welcome to her if she needs a ride.

Arlington is working on it. They have a test route with DART. At the end of the trial run they will evaluate rider feedback & determine if they will drop the service, continue as is, or expand still using DART or The T. The problem with them keeping DART is Grand Prarrie does not have the service either & if they get on board it will be much better. Trust me 10, 000% when I say this, so far the feedback on the DART MAX bus has been awesome.

*this metro area ....is one of.... if not the worst in the United States
the Arlington / mid-cities is the largest population wise (it seems) without public transportation in the country.....that PT we do have is piss poor

I was living in Vegas. So... In comparison..
I used to live in New York.. I know nothing will compare to that, but.. After a year in Vegas and before that North Carolina and before that Los Angeles, well..
Maybe it's just where in Dallas that I decided to live. It's very easy for me to get around without a car.
Eventually I'll drive again.. I just have to learn how to not drive so fast.
