HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Southern University athletic director and former NFL football player Greg LaFleur was arrested in Houston on a charge of soliciting a prostitute.

He was busted during a reverse prostitution sting in downtown Houston Sunday night around 8:30. The former NFL tight end is accused of offering an undercover female police officer $50 for sex. LaFleur went before a judge in probable cause court late Monday night and is free on $500 bond.
We are attempting to reach La Fleur for a comment and are awaiting a response from Southern University, where he has served as athletic director since 2005.
LaFleur told the judge in court late Monday night that he planned to hire his own attorney. He's due back in a Houston criminal court on April 19.
