Default Turkey

Quote:
Trump accused Bolton of not completing a pre-publication review to make sure the book does not contain classified material. That contradicts statements from Bolton’s attorney, Chuck Cooper, who says his client worked painstakingly for months with classification specialists at the White House National Security Council to make changes to avoid releasing classified material.

Let the conspiracy begin.

The Turkey-Libya agreement benefits Egypt, but the UAE is a spoiler

https://www.trtworld.com/opinion/the...-spoiler-37292

Quote:
Last year, several allegedly official documents on the negotiation process between Egypt and Greece were leaked to the media. One expert document noted that the Greek team “lacked credibility and resorted to crooked methods” in negotiations.

According to the document, the Greek continued “fallacy and false claims”, and “exploited the political understanding between the two governments to embarrass the Egyptian negotiating-legal team."

Recently, there have been several reports on the emerging disagreements between Cairo and Abu Dhabi on the best way to empower Haftar. The UAE insisted on a military resolution by taking Tripoli and overthrowing the UN-recognised government.

Cairo had to eventually agree given that Abu Dhabi is the primary financial and military supporter of Haftar. However, the Emirates' malicious plan backfired and ended up empowering Turkey and Russia in Libya and reducing Egypt’s role to a mere observer.

The hardcore interest calculations say that Cairo will gain from aligning itself with Ankara, while it is set to lose if it is to follow the UAE-driven ideological confrontation with Turkey.

My guess is the asterisk the President wants to add to the book is about Turkey. Or maybe his finances. But that's just a cheap shot.

If the thread dies, . . . .

So what?

Comprehension, sir. If this was about Bolton hiding his finances, it would be a cheap shot. I'm surmising a big shot at the prez for power. Or recourses.

Yeah, I feel bad for those who put others on ignore when I post replies, because I generally quote what I'm responding to.

Twofold purpose there.

First to make sure people know the full context of what I'm responding to.

Second, years ago on another board, there was a troll poster who would habitually edit their original post if you didn't quote it to try and twist your reply.

So you have my apologies, but I generally quote when responding.

Turkey drew up plans to invade Greece and Armenia - secret documents

https://www.jpost.com/middle-east/tu...-report-631641

Quote:
The general staff had panicked over the possible leaking of the classified documents and urged the court to allow the documents to be screened before being presented. It appears, however, that the prosecutors ignored these concerns, the Nordic Monitor reported.
However, while the plans were named in the document, any specific details were omitted, likely being classified and therefore not shared through the network.

It's been pointing out to me "thou protest to much". Once I have said I have somebody on ignore, I should never respond to that person even if I witness a repost/ a quote and I feel the need to comment on that.

So I'm conceding the point. From this moment on, I swear the handle 9500 shall never pass my lips or keyboard ever again. I will leave him to those who can take insufferable memes and boring commentary.

Done and out. OK, maybe just this one last time.

Somebody is playing hardball with how Uncle Sam treats his orphan black soul. We have to choose Europe or Middle East support.

The conservative Heritage Foundation, meanwhile, blasted out a news release Tuesday labeling Trump's planned drawdown as a "mistake" and calling on Congress to block any funding to reduce the number of U.S. troops in Europe.

"With all the security challenges along Europe's periphery, and with a revisionist Russia threatening the U.S. and its NATO allies, American military capability in Europe should be increased, not reduced," Heritage said in the release.
