Neither is the much maligned Ruger Mini 14, but it is just as deadly as any AR-15 style Rifle.

An interesting sidebar to this is that Ruger actually did make a military assault rifle. Called thr Ruger 556, it is select-fire (capable of fully- automatic operation) and id dimensionally different from the Mini-14 family of guns.

I completly agree with you on that. It would be more appropriate to refer to this as "California Compliant".

I am not fuly informed on CA gun laws, but for some reason, changing but stock/lower receiver this way completely circumvents their definition (in California) of an illegal to own firearm.
